@Suntearock same here so when ever she lights up a cigarette and i am around her if we are in the house i walk away i don't want to be around it period. she smokes like a pack or two a day goes through like 5 packs in like 2 weeks or less. anyways just try not to be around it i mean it is still gonna be in the house so your still gonna be around it no matter what but still and a friend i had in the 4th grade quit being my friend because my mom smoked and it was on me and she was around me
@Suntearock continued she didn't want to be around that because the smell was on me and and she didn't want it to get on her i mean.i am not the one smoking my mom is its not going to affect her as bad but i don't care any more because i have better friends who accept that and are still my friends and know i will NEVER smoke
Some people who refuse to quit/stop smoking are considered to be weak inside, lack the will power, don't have the guts, or the stamina to resist it. They don't want to take charge and be in control of their own life to relinquish the bad smoking habit. Uh-uh, no way. They want the the smoking product to possess and succumb their very existence. Yup, that's it. That is exactly what they want it to happen. Until it's too late, gambling with their own life, and to pay the price with their mistake.
@beyondskymiles i am 15 and have smoked for 2 years my dad for 40-55 years he has wasted over 50000 euros on it yea i know a lot but 1 year ago we said we will quit together and we both havent touched it....
@TCt83067695 what are you talking about? wtf is a didirin? If it was a put-down, then all I have to say thats whats going on here in America, if not the whole world. Open your eyes!
I have been smoking for two years, and the only reason I quit one day, is because me and my girlfriend had a fight about it. Period. Just learn how to say no.
Dont you think its funny how the government is so worried about us quitting, and yet they still let the sale of ciggs, and bad chemicals placed in our ciggs go on? Its all a ploy, to create confusion amongst the people, so then the citizens of AMerica go nuts, and then get placed in shitty asylums/mental facilities, thus more creating control for government.
@perogie34 Im not going to rant on a stupid website created by a kid, but I will say this... DO YOUR RESEARCH....and also Go out in the world and experience stuff like I have mentioned, then you will have your proof.
I've tried to quit several times. Only thing that worked for me was being sick. 3 ORL infections at the same time. And I've asthma. Almost been hospitalized. Don't start smoking, and if it's too late, don't wait before you quit. The longer you wait, the harder it gets (I've seen it with my friends and family).
Only an Idiot would smoke now days with all of the HUGE Medical evidence showing what it does to you.
I am very happy to hear that the Taxes on tobacco is going up again. Good. I think anyone who is so inconsiderate and stupid as to make other people breath their toxic second hand smoke SHOULD be penalized and taxed very heavily.
You you selfish people want to pollute our air then your money needs to be taken away. Pure and simple.
my grandma spent 10 years in a nursing home with Alzheimer before she died. I would much rather die of lung cancer 10 years earlier than suffer her fate.
Smoking is a calculated risk, just like everytime you hop into a vehicle and get on the highway. Smokers are no dumber than people who don't smoke. They are just more risk adverse.. ie they would take the gratification now rather than not smoking and hoping it pays off down the line. Just like with those who choose to drink/have sex/overeat.
You sing a pretty song, but then try holding your breath for one minute. Uncomfortable? Imagine feeling that slightly panicy "I need air!" feeling for not just a few seconds, but for months, even years, while you slowly suffocate from the inside out....
1) smoking is NOT a pleasure, I am telling you this and I smoked for 12 years. I was under te ILLUSION that it was pleasure. I was relieving the pain of not getting my drug. Once you heal from the addicition you will see it for what it is.
2) You would rather die of lung cancer than have alzheimer? MAN DO YOU EVEN HAVE AN IDEA OF THE PAIN OF CANCER?..
3) Smoking is not just a risk. EVERY smoker is affected EVERY DAY... AND , 1 in 2 smokers will die from smoking.
@mark1m no offense my friend, i wish you all the best, i smoked six years, it takes lot of courage to live your own life independently and being not addicted, do not copy what other people say, live your life and be really free
Yes it is. Not as bad for your lungs, but increases you chance to get all the other smoking related diseases. Also greatly increases your chances of getting mouth and throat cancer.

They should show what extreme old age does to a person. Grandpa used tobacco all of his life, got cancer at 88 and was dead 6 months later. Grandma never smoked and lived to 96 persisting for years after her quality of life was crap.
Key is to mix up your tobacco use. Do not only smoke cigarettes, also dip, chew and smoke cigars and pipe. Nicotine is good for you!
The difference between you and your grandpa is that you live in a very pollutive world at the moment, with very modern problems such as obesity, food additives, crappy air etc etc.
Even so,if you had to chose between dying now or dying 8 years later, what would you chose?
It's not the nicotine that makes smoking crap,it's the other shit they mix nicotine with.If you want nicotine,go buy yourself some nicotine gum, stickers or whatever you like, you'll notice they won't bother for your age.
yes but even though some smokers do live to be old age, the chemicals in the cigarettes do make you feel in pain and like shit for however long your smoking!
Smoking is an illogical addiction. Becoming a non-smoker is a choice. This video is highly motivational for smokers who are ready to quit. Thanks for posting.
Yes, we should have them here in America but I think there's too much pressure from the tobacco companies for that to happen. They have the cash behind them to influence things.
I understand that since these ads have been started in Australia, smoking there has been reduced by one-quarter. Just proves that you don't have to take away cigarettes to get people to quit. Way to go, Australia.
You don't have anti-smoking ads in America?, but you guys have adds for Anti-Depressants and various other prescription drugs on TV don't you? .. Don't know about you mate, but it seems like to me you live in a Cathedral of non advertised and advertised death in that country :(
No we dont have ads. We have Sky-High taxes and people judging you everywhere you go.
Freedom? I think not. At least not without hellacious hassle.
When the taxes went up, me and all my friends/family bought roll your own pure American Spirit Tobacco without most of the carcinogens in them. Not healthy yes. but alot less addictive and harmful. No smoking is healthy but seriously. Leave people alone. Educate dont hate. :)
Well, where I come from, my country discourages smoking. But our National Heritage Board is funded by a tobacco company. LOL. How contradicting it is here. And for every box, there is a 120% tobacco tax on it's original cost price (the government claims it's to help smokers to quit, but of that 120% tax, about 50% is to provide the government their annual earnings).
Oh there are plenty of quit smoking ones in the USA. The mojority of the USA ones are from "the truth". Australians have an interesting approach to their ads.
i got 2 fags left in my pack, been soking for 20 years. Im quitting today. Wish me luck.
