@fender13ify Dropped D - DADGBE. I learned this one in 1977 from a Kicking Mule cassette tape w/ booklet. Now you can find it on DVD called 'Folk, Blues & Beyand' from Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop. Good playing.
Not saying this as any sort of an insult towards Bert, so please don't take it that way, but Bert always gets the glory, but I've always liked John quite a bit better. Better suites my tastes.
Listen to their album 'Bert and John' it was recorded in their Soho apartment with blankets on the walls to cover the noise of the neighbours. You can hear dogs barking in the background. Both admired Davey Graham.
i will definently look for that album as soon as i have the money and thanks for telling me about it ive decided to also look up some davey graham casue aint really heard any of him
Welcome. I wish him to live 50 more years never losing his will of playing great acoustic guitar tunes like this. You know I try so hard playing like him but I miss that magic touch.
I have a feeling that not one of you is old (or wise) enough to know what Renbourn, Jansch, John Martyn and others were to English folk in England in the 60's.
Never mind, you probably haven't heard of Django Reinhardt either!
I missed him in 97 or so when he played at the Rogue Folk Club here in Vancouver.. also known as the WISE Hall. Then I missed him again a few years later when he played at the Vancouver Folk Fest ;( Now, I wonder if I'll ever see this hero of mine.
what tuning is he in?

Berrybrain,
You don't have to be "old or wise" to know what Renbourn et al were to English folk music.
It should be ARE old enough not IS old enough - old wise one.
