Amazing! I've got tons of room on my property, and I'm not using nearly as much space as I could! Do you have a whole bunch of kids to eat all that or do you and Mrs. Greensgrower eat all that stuff? I have a hard time eating all that I grow, even with canning and freezing. You're a real inspiration, so keep posting!
Holy WHOA! <: o lol That's killer! It reminds me of the hedge maze from The Shining! hehe *thumbs up* Everythings doin wicked.. even down in low light places..! Sweet garden man... ; D
I am so proud of you john! your monster trellis is AWESOME. I want to make one that is like 3 feet high to cover a 20 ft long wall on my house that gets hotter than anything on a summer morning. Are there people who can design one that big? I want to grow a passionflower vine in the hopes it will shade the southeast wall in the morning.
Hey , I am from florida where we can grow all sorts of strawberries! I thought you might try the hydroponic growing. Strawberries like to run every year to make a new strawberry tree. They pollinate white at night time. You can spray water on them in the middle of the day and they just keep coming back in my climate. I use neem oil on them every now and then to prevent disease and bugs. I hope this helps. Thanks for showing me your garden, i learned a ton about vertical growing. SOOO COOL!
John, regarding your strawberry bed issues, wasn't that the bed you did an experiment on with two different additives when planting? Just wondering if maybe one or both of them were affecting them badly or not.
nice job. strawberries like a lot of water. about 1.5 inches a week in northern california in the summer. and they love manure/rich compost. strawberries dont really produce until the 2ND year if planted from plugs. in the third year start to plant a plug next to the more mature plant, after the third year replace the strawberry. mainly a 'spring crop. production slows down in the heat.
Great video John, thanks for the tour. You have inspired us to rip out the grass in our front yard and this winter I will begin construction on the flower beds. We are in Pleasanton which is not too far from you so I believe we kind of have the same climate. Thanks again for putting all of the videos together, I look forward to them each week.
oooh, i've been trying to find what the fruit of the scarlet runner beans looked like coolio!

No carrots or beets?

I will grow those in the winter. I do not often grow carrots. Will grow beets more often since I like to eat the leaves.
