Matt 7 is not for the Church. Christ is talking to Jews before His death. There was no gospel of death and resurrection.This was law abiding preaching Hoping for atonement to be realized.Context, context, bad fruit from the lawful tree brings judgment law is not enough.The gate is kingdom; the door is Christ..So did they go through the door or not.
