@iam2cool4me Yeah I saw that now that you point it out. I'm guessing it's just like drumheads and the coating wearing off of the heads due to consistent hits in the same spot. Don't forget they're using those sticks treated with luminescent paint (for black light effects) and I'm sure that stuff flakes off after a while too. Good catch!

At 1:49-1:52 the one puts the tube with the higher pitch below the lower pitched tube, but it switches tones before he actually switches the tubes he plays on. Also at 2:39 the music starts playing before he actually starts playing on the tube, which is interesting. Other than that, I love the Blue Man Group. I think it's an amazing show and I want to see it again soon!

Through the whole vid I was thinking the sound wasnt matching up with the movement of the pipes. Seems the pipe sounds were pre-recorded. You can see @ 2:35 ... You hear him playing them before he even moves. Then @ 2:45 the pitch changes before they hook the pipes together.
