@noseriouslywhatsup You may not realize it, but Rock Band is actually very beneficial towards playing real drums. I don't own a real kit, but I play on my friend's some when I hang out with him (he's been playing for a few years). I can teach myself songs completely on Rock Band, then go play them on his kit, and according to him, I do very well.

Rock Band helps you get beats and techniques down, and when you get better, moderately complex ones at that. So it's not a complete waste of time.
