  • What a treat! Thank you!

  • Good job daddy xx

  • Thanks Ilan. I can't get over how great this interview is. Fantastic job. You asked a lot of great questions.

  • What do you think the interviewer was getting at when he said, "It's upside-down, you know" (just before the cut at 3:57)? The marking of the "on" positions on the control panel on the Hofner bass?

  • @RobertKS

Exactly, it's an upside-down righty control plate. Apparenty Hofner didn't make special control plates for left handed instruments. What you see in 3:45 is neck pickup solo'ed position. You can also see that the plate is now held in place by four screws instead of the original 2.

  • Great interview by a very knowledgeable Beatles fan. The world of musical gear is enriched by having this interview on the record.

  • There must be over several million dollars worth of guitars there!

  • Wow, great instruments! However, the interviewer knows maybe too much, and should let Smith answer, and limit himself to questions...even though, as a fellow Beatle freak, I'd have trouble restraining myself too!
