You can use either the box set or the 29 dollar copy of s/l doesn't matter as long as u are running a intel based Mac.

Some non mainstream printers are not supported for snow leopard 10.6

Check before upgrading that the drivers are available for your printer ....I didnt , now I have a printer that wont work.

I have a macbook as well. 2.0ghz 1gb ram currently running 10.4.

Will it be worth upgrading to SL? Or would 10.5 be a better choice, because I've read that upgrading to SL would be pointless because it uses so much ram. 1gb just wouldnt be enough.

How is your macbook performance/multitasking-wise?

did you buy snow leopard? or did you use the grey disk that came with your imac?

@slybeaner no i had to buy a new copy,i actualy tried to use my disks for my imac

but they would'nt work,

the disks that come with my imac are only compatible for that machine.. cheers.
