i didnt register it, the shop owner did. about a week though i think. check the dvla. when you insure, i did it over the phone and they said "right away"
the nuts and bolts rust, i had it since last july and nuts and bolts have rusted. it hasnt caused a problem though. fuel economy is great! parts are cheap and can be found on ebay.
maintain it and you wont have a problem. the brakes squeal a little on my bike, it can be remedied. that can happen on any bike i think. rear lamp went, cost a pound for two. im going to get a new chain £15 including postage.
brakes are great, no problems at all. i have had to emergency brake a few times but they work great. the front forks are black, for a while. riding the bike takes the paint off by a sand blast effect. dirt from the road sprays up at the bike and takes the one layer of paint off. i think this can be remedied when you first get the bike. there is a protective wax you can buy to cover it with. it protects against uv and scuffs apparantly. the exhaust can rust a little. happens on jap bikes as well.
you can get a paint that costs £5 from halfords, its heat resistant and will protect against rust. the operation of the bike is good. it is a little ruff as its a moto cross style bike. not the most comfy to ride, but my kawasaki kmx was the same and that cost over two grand new.
maintain, maintain, maintain. it may sound like lots of work, at first it may seem that way. its all basic stuff. i do a daily check of brakes, lights, fuel.
a weekly check of tire pressure oil, tread, brake oil
once you get the basics it will take about ten minutes on most. i havent really kept mine in order which is why it rusts so much. but since sorting those problems its virtually spotless.
i got mine from ls imports in portsmouth. like all chinese bike sellers they are a little sketchy. i had problems with my battery, a common problem. i wanted a replacment. it took about a month. the bike ran without it. but if it comes with a battery they should replace it and they did.
you shouldent keep giving it throttle its not that cold by the looks of it ull just end up flooding it take it from experience plus y use the kick start if you got the starter motor?
starts well

why is it going to cost that much?
its £600 for the bike
about £70 for registration and tax.
then delivery cost unless you can pick it up, delivery is usually about £100
insurance should be about £300 or less
where are you buying from and what are you getting for that much?
