I teach a senior-level American college class in Foreign Business Relations. Recently I brought up the subject of WWII, and was shocked by the ignorance of these young people about WWII. Out of 20 students, NONE could correctly place the years it was fought. Most could not name a SINGLE national leader in WWII. Many thought we fought the war against Russia. Some thought it started "when England got bombed". This epic history is being forgotten by our young people. A real tragedy.

With 62 to 78 million deaths in 6 years, it's important the young generation is introduced to the events that lead to WW2. They must recognize the signs and be able to prevent it from happening again. As a teacher you are achieving this. Internet also now provides instant access to information. Like you say, access to the internet and sites such as Youtube make great documentaries like this one much more accessible then before.

Unfortunately, it's not lack of access but lack of interest and curiousity about history in general that lies behind the indifference among young adults. This was expressed to me by one young man "knowing about this stuff [WWII] isn't going to make me any money in life".

German currency was worthless. The temporary recovery was based on a myth. It took the currency reform of 1948 to give it any long term health.

They had strong trade ties before WWII. They would have kept them if allowed. They invaded Russia to free themselves of needing to trade for resources.

Germany had many coloniesuntil WWI took them away. After that Germany did not colonize. They occupied.

Germany industry and infrastructure depended on forced labour of the Jewish people.

Actually it makes sence for some people to make such claims. For the most part they're powerless little people, losers in life and neer do wells. Killing or working to death all the so-called "inferior" peoples, be it on grounds of nationality, ethnic origin, disability or political conviction, was the basis of Nazism. Anyone who denies the Holocaust is not only denying historical fact which is easily verifiable, (there's far more surviving documentation relating to the Holocaust than the Roman Empire), but is also denying the core of their own political beliefs. If they're ashamed of them, they should change them.

I've been to Oradur sur glane. Incrediblly chilling and upsetting, especially when your reading the names of the dead and next to the name is the age - 8 months - 6 months.

Might sound stupid but as soon as you enter the village you can't even hear bird-song, it's as if even nature stays away.

Hitler was in a way right that the Soviets could have collapsed with one strong blow. But he couldn't see the potential of local allies.

Thats when he pretty much lost the war. Well before Moscow 1941.

After that it was very hard but not impossible.

But by late 1942 the war was lost at Stalingrad/Caucasus.

Also, the Jews of Eastern Europe are not descended from Abraham, they are descendants of the Khazar empire in eastern Europe. They are not of Semitic ancestry, thus one cannot be "anti-Semitic" towards the converted Jewish people.

There's nothing wrong with converting to a religion, but the children of Khazar really need to stop claiming such ancient history. Only about 10% of worldwide Jews are actually descended from the 12 tribes of Israel.

The boycott of Jewish goods was a RESPONSE to the 1933 declaration of WAR by "Judea" against Germany, which included boycotts of German goods worldwide by Jews which devastated the German economy.

It was not an attempt to get the German people to "think and act anti-semetic as a matter of cause" as the video claims, but the natural response to the boycott against them. They perceived it as "why should I buy goods from Jews when Jews worldwide are crushing our economy with their boycott?"
