  • There hasn't been an fps game set in space for a while. The last one I remember playing was DOOM 3 which is also set in Hell and I don't mean the last level in Hell but Mars City! Damn that place got trashed!

  • I dont think there is need to reinvent the wheel... the reloading of shotgun in NS1 should be used here as well, looks better than this. IMO of course.

  • I dunno... I feel like the shoty is too soft =X... it doesn't have a big powerful blast i mean :S.... and spreading of the bullets is very small too =/....

  • That shotgun makes a good beat, like really, you can make a song of some sort with it.

  • lol at the calm and steady hand that reloads the weapon.

    By the looks of the hand, your character is a rookie that doesn't have any skill in reloading a weapon fast.

  • im not such a fan of the reload animation... one of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to see whats right in front of me while i reload. What's the point of working so hard to keep the UI uncluttered when you stick 2 arms and a firearm in the middle of the screen? Guess it helps a skulk rush you from the front.

  • @Thingamajig12 you aim down when you reload so you can see stuff in front of you, it's not like you can stop moving your head as you reload

  • @ShadowRaptor12 this is an added annoyance and your field of vision is still reduced. I usually remove it all together and increase my field of view to 120 degrees, but for the people who don't know how to do that this is going to get in the way.

  • @labobo they couldn't really make that deadline and they recieved additional funds which made it possible for them to make the game they really wanted to make and could add features that might otherwise have had to be cut.

  • Your hud needs more work, I'm a professional UI Artist. Your block colours are obscuring the screen, limit the bold'ness of the colours and add a little grit-blending towards the interaction of the screen. For the added look, lower the transparency of your Bold colours it can help dilate the over-seeing factor of them.

  • @Pottehlol Yeah I can see it too. That UI is quite loud. Also reloading should use less screen real estate like someone else said. There must be a way to accentuate the top load look without cluttering the screen to go 'OMG LOOK AT THIS THING RELOADING! ITS BETTER THAN THE ACTION!'

  • The reloading sound is more similar to a grenade launcher than a shotgun but I just love how heavy the overall feel is.

  • I hope that weapon didn't take too long to make.

    I'd estimate the modeling/texturing/animation to be done in at most 2 weeks.

    But since we aren't getting barely any updates on the weapons it looks like it takes you a lot longer? :o

    btw I love the weapon. Reload animation needs fixing, fire animation needs more b00m. Maybe in combination with a distorted ammo screen like somebody mentioned before and a MUCH BIGGER muzzle flash.

    Excessive use of effects sometimes is THE key.

  • I don't see the need of "deploying this gun" in anyway, because even in its "compress" form it still about the same length as it was not deploy.

    The reload is tard...not just the magic shells popping out of no where, but the halo shotgun concept. Why would you load the shells on the top barrel? any1 who uses a gun or done research would kno that not how shotgun works, the top barrel is for projecting the pellets from the shells, the bottom is for storing shell ready to load up.

    Change it now!

  • That is one awsome shotgun. But for the fireing it doesnt feel very powerful. The sound is fine but maybe give the screen a small jolt or distortion when u fire. Not enough to affect gameplay but enough to make the player feel powerful. :) Otherwise its looking fantastic guys awsome work (Y)

    This game is still in Alpha & currently has only a engine release test...

    The engine still needs to be tweaked & the games still pretty far from finishing...

    Leave the poor buggers alone, they've worked so hard on this game & its looking fantastic for a game made from scratch!

  • lol. The shells just appear out of thin air. That's bad animation! And the sound... it sounds like it was ripped from Doom 2.

    The weapon looks nice, but the shells need to come from somewhere besides thin air, and the sound needs some serious work.

    Love the WZSSSHHH sound it makes when you take it out as well.

  • aweshum. I like the popup ammo indicator, and the sounds were done really well. Kudos to both the designer and sound designer

  • oh yea, one more thing.. the reload anim.. where is he getting the extra shells? the left hand might wanna be redone?

    He's spiderman, but what we don't know is that he could shoot shotgun shells at very low velocities out of his wrists as well as web.

  • @VeNeM999 no he counts the numbrt of shells he needs and take out as many of em he needs and hold em in hes hand and reaload xD
