Sean Connery had such an great performance in this movie. He was much much better than Roger Moore in Octopussy or A View to a kill.

Connery actually looked better in this film than he did in "Diamonds Are Forever" over a decade earlier, the last Bond movie he did prior to this "unretirement".

In DAF he was overweight and seemed disinterested.

This film was supposed to be released in direct competiton with the offical bond film of 1983 octopussy starring roger moore but was late and octopussy opened in the summer a better time for releasing and was a much bigger hit!!!
