Yeah I feel like it's the mix of Mirror's Edge, Team Fortress 2 and Modern Warfare.

The game looks promising enough but I get a serious "dumbed down" vibe from the developer's insistence on Brink's ability to let the player stop thinking for him- or herself. What's so terribly wrong about carefully thinking through your options for yourself and then deciding independently on a course of action?

@Demiath Actually, it will not be that dumbed down. It may be true that the smart button will be simple to use, but you can do most of the moves manually and when you do them manually you move faster and you can get to points on the map a person using only the smart button couldn't.

@Demiath Go to steam and download the enemy territory Quake Wars demo. That will show you more of the "dumbed down" features, such as the objectives system. Of course it isn't anything like this game. But it has that particular feature.

You forgot Mirrors Edge, Enemy Territory (escorting the bot) and Team Fortress 2 (the engineer sentry guns).

I wonder if the actual game that comes out of that pot is any good... this feels like one of those games that you need to play in order to see if there's something there or not.

Yeah, but considering it's developped and published by Bethesda, I would tend to trust them.

Depending on the release date and if I'm busy with my courses while it's released, I might buy it on release date or pre-order.
