This is a heckuva wagon though. Like everyone suggests.... better tires! I still pine for an older Discovery (as I still couldn't affoard a new one.). But here in the states, a good Wrangler does what I need.

Why is it that land rover drivers never seem to buy offroad tires. You always see them getting stuck in the mud with skinny little radial tires.

ok the vehicle wasnt fully kitted out for off roading my bet it was a family vehicle that lives on the road 90% of its life.

if there was a set of decent mud tyres then he wouldnt have struggled as much as he did also if he used his diff lock when he was stuck he could have crawled out that mud didnt look that thick

110s are superb machines but bein honest ud need decent rubber to get through that unless u used a lot more momentum. for offroad u simply cant beat the small, lightweight 90 especialy on some of these climbs. 110s too long n too heavy really. but if u need luggage and passengers 90s can be very cosy lol

No need to blame the driver, this is very demanding conditions. A 90 has a few advantages over the 110, and vice versa. The car in this (boring) video doesn't have the tires needed for the job. But that doesn't make the driver bad.

Yea it does need them, its got "AT"s, wich are basicly just road tyres. It could also do with a lift. Other than that its an excellent landrover.

Those are road tyres yes, but unless you're referring to a specific brand 'AT', they're not all-terrain tyres.

AT's, all terrains, would be better than what you have, and MTs, mud terrains even more so.

i would be embarrest if my 90 could'nt make it up the stuff that your 110 could'nt.

110's are too long and heavy to be as good off roader as a 90.

There not as good off road, but there not bad. Ive got my 110 over/through everything my friends 90s done. The one in the video isnt mine, and its not me driving it, ive got videos of mine on facebook.

I will always drive 110s over 90s though because their load space is way more practical, and they handel better on the road.

A fine machine, if you are new to off-roading you will be amazed where it will go on more aggressive tyres, but thats been said!

well the one i got, the guy before me bought from the police second hand first as a decomissioned vehicle, spent the 9000 doing it up with bitts from the 07 defender...but yea, you just have to scower the club magazines and specialist adds
