I just spent the last three days traveling through Tongva and Chumash land, being grateful for being born and living in their lands, the most beautiful and bountiful I know.
I'm not sure where to go with this. There's the sub memorial across the street, and it's an historic item that was saved thanks to local Tongva. It's one stop on the Ancestor March.
Would you know someone who can go through it with me, and explain some of the things there? Especially the plants, and the history of that site. I think it was a launching area for Ti'at, there was a channel down what is now 3rd St., and the filled-in wetlands was rich with fish and shells.
