  • That's I sthil, awesome

I have a flymo weed wacker that has 35cc and it is very powerfull except it is very very thirsty

  • @Bluejoanas86 why would that suck? If you pay attention, in the video you can see a spare 4 hp outboard on the floor under my cowboy hat, oars on the sides and a electric trolling motor on the bow. Plus plenty of gas.

The weedeater outboard is just a toy I built to see I could make a better one than most of the others I've seen on YouTube.

  • it would suck if the weed wacker engine broke or you ran out of gas in the middle of the lake :/

  • A Tap is a cutting tool that cuts threads inside a hole like a nut. A die cuts threads on a rod like a bolt You can learn all about it by googling Tap and Die

  • @surfandscientist. I've seen videos of others with weedeaters on kayaks but not tried it myself. I don't think waves would be a problem. What I see is 1- how to refuel, mine needs refueled about every 45 minutes. 2- if the motor dies how to tinker with and restart on the back of a Kayak. IMHO a Canoe is much better, more stable and room to move around a little.

  • How do you think that motor would fare on an ocean kayak rig? (can it handle waves?)

  • Hey @mrgeneralfischer I'm 14 and just got a pelican bass boat I don't a motor yet can you please email me on hot to go about doing this? Thank you sir EMAIL: duggerb18@yahoo.com

  • Awesome

  • can you use a clearing saw

  • ok I'm look at it

  • I use a Stihl, got it for free. Don't know how many cc but it works great.

You could put 2 on but would def need earplugs. You could link them together with a tie rod like I did in my electric trolling motor video. That way when you steer one they both turn like front tires of a car.

  • do you think that you can put 2 of them on a canoe

  • what kind of weed eater do you use

  • @1982chops a weedeater should cost less than $100 used. The prop runs about $20 and the tap about $10.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

  • @MrGeneralfischer whats a tap?

  • wow thanks I'm see what I can do and get back to you and let you know how it went

  • @1982chops Thanks, it's easy. Just get a weedeater that spins counter clockwise. I think most of them do. Then watch my video of how I put the propeller on mine. If you can find an old broken electric trolling motor the transom mount will fit the weedeater shaft. They are the same size. I have 2 canoes and a Jon boat. It works great on all of them.

  • I got so much I want to ask you you got the best on here that I've seen how much money would it take for something like this

  • hi I live in FL I got a 18ft flatback canoe I would love to do something like this with it

  • hi

  • It cut me off, I was saying you can get props either way because they make them for twin engine RC boats. Just email me and I will send you pics on how I made the jig to hold the prop still while I drilled and tapped it.

  • @MrGeneralfischer thanx for the help and quick response!!!!

  • @YAHUSADECIPLE. The Prop is A Prather 270. A Bronze prop you can buy from online RC boat websites. It looks too small to do what mine does but it works great. You can email me at generalfischer@aol.com and I will send you pics of how I did it. 270mm is diameter of prop. Approx 2". Pitch is how far forward a prop will travel in 1 revolution with no resistance. The 1st thing you need to do is figure out if you need a right hand or left hand prop. ( which way the weedeater motor spins)

    You can ge

  • I just watched every weedeater outboard I could find on YouTube and mine seems to be the fastest by far. Most are trying to run a electric trolling motor prop, way too much surface area for the 2 stroke to get up the RPMs it needs to make good power. This prop is a RC boat prop. 270mm diameter and 4.5 pitch drilled and tapped to screw directly to the output shaft with no jam nut needed. You can see how great it works in all my videos even with 2 people in the boat.

  • @MrGeneralfischer i watched them all 2 and yours is def the fastest BY FAR i just took an echo edger and made everything and its set up on the boat now all i need is the prop where can i get a prop like this and what do you mean when u say pitch drilled and tapped to screw directly you mean to connect the prop with no pin or bolts?
