I'm buying an Aveo Sedan soon! I liked it a lot! The trunk is big, it's a sedan, feels like a bigger car while you drive it... it has clim., mp3 and lots of useful accessories to carry small objects, sunglasses... It's cheap, practical, in some colors is even a beautiful car, cheap insurance, cheap to run... It looks like a good car to me. It's not as well done as a Focus, but a Focus with the same equipment costs like 6000€ more. That's a lot of gas I can spend on my Aveo ;)

It's pretty much 2nd cheapest new car around here - after €6100 Chevy Spark (new Matiz). Dacia Sandero is the next cheapest car, few 100€ more, VERY basic trim. Yaris starts at 10500€. Aveo is here and now awesome value for money.

my honda fit gets 28 in the city even with me being 17 yrs old 6ft tall and a huge 399pounds it still gets the much...with me in that cheap car it would just fall apart
That's funny cause I drove a 2007 Aveo Sedan without cruise control from St. Louis Missouri to Mobile Alabama and NEVER averaged less than 34 MPG. That was me driving, and without cruise control. Had my girlfriend been driving I'm certain that would've increased by 2-3 MPG. Why are people even commenting that know nothing about the subject? You should just stick to asking questions.
General Motors will need to put a halt to their Truck/SUV lines and start cranking out these Aveo's if they want to hang around for the fourth quarter of 2008.
Easy. In this class you really can't go wrong with Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, Hyundai Accent, or even Scion XD depending on what you need and like. This piece of crap is Daewoo made and Chevy's looking for some extra change with these cars and nothing more.
Renault Clio, VW Polo, Peugeot 207 or if you really want sedan then wait for Renault Symbol or get Fiat Linea. But you can also have Clio grandtour or Peugeot 207 sw. If you want miniMPV, get Renault GrandModus.
I dont now what to say. I live in Europe and i am happy with my car. It`s a 2007 model full option and i love it. It`s small, confty and you dont have the problem of full. I do not now whay people and crom and aluminium in ther car, because in a accident they do nothing so whay do i need it only for plasure and to say to my frendes that my car has crom.
I have to agree with you on the fit, but I'm not too sure bout the yaris though... I drove the 1.0l that is being sold here in portugal and it's only plus is: it's frugal, but... it's slow as hell and loud as a truck... I never drove the aveo though, so I can't compare the two properly (yet)
i test drive this car and its not a bad car at all but the version i test drive was the Europe version.

remember Daewoo in the 90s in the USA... they were so bad and went bankrupt in the US and GM bought them
