  • NICE! In Argentina This car name is "chevrolet 400", but there are only with 4 doors :(

Look my nova with 250 motor, Sorry for my english.

  • Wow that's nice, good job go's out to the builder

  • around how much did it cost to build the engine?

  • @MrDestructoPanda Keep your juvenile opinion to yourself. Anything else I would otherwise say to you could be considered child abuse. Now go play in the street.

  • Why does it have to be fake...? The horsepower and torque numbers? The fact that its a turbocharged chevy inline six? The fact that its being dyno'd? I don't see the reason to get all hissy and feel the need to start throwing out "fake" left and right... sounds like a turbo inline six to me.

  • @A05C Nope, no motor is seen. No readout is pictured. The purpose of VIDEO is to visually substantiate the claim of the title. Turbo? I don't see one. Mega horsepower? Show it. Not there? Video the back tire. Therefore I call FAKE. And proclaim you an obnoxious baboon with a mouth like a prolapsed anus.

  • @20alphabet Anybody thats been around a dyno can tell this little car puts down some numbers no matter what motor, turbo or not.

  • Anyone notice the sniffer in the tailpipe ? I call FAKE as it's obviously just a smog-check. We see no motor. We see no read-out. FAKE FAKE FAKE !

  • @20alphabet your obviously a moron. The sniffer is to log air fuel ratio over the rpm sweep.

  • @20alphabet People like you are the scum of Youtube. Shut the fuck up, enjoy the sound of the good old Chevy inline 6, and admire how clean this Nova is, far out.

  • id hate to see the hub cap fly off

  • Love it man I have a 330 horse 250 in my 68 c10

  • @nitrojunkie11 wow what all did you do to it??

  • Why

  • @ludomessage

    Because

  • is this car for sale?

  • I'm surprised.

A turbo'd Inline 6 with plenty of power and sound that makes ME the most extreme V8 sound fan drool over it and wish had a car that sounds like this.

It sounds steady and powerful,it kills and it acts like nothing happened, nothing like the new Inline 6 engines that are having a screwed up sound and sounding like BEES with a turbo cause of all that tweaking for efficiency over the years.

Well done with this build,i wish i could swap it with the new engine of any car i'll get.

  • Sounds like a V6.

  • Cool build. I love sleepers! That's a money maker!

  • wow. i wish my 78 four door nova had those horses. 250s are better than any v8 any day anyway, but i doubt my factory 33 yer old engine would handle a turbo hahaha.

  • How did you get the turbo to fit? shock towers are in the way for the SPA manifold?

  • Haha little tourque monster!

  • Can you give me the color code to your car? I bought a 63 and want to paint it the same way. Thank you

  • sounds likes it breathes so well

  • did anyone notice the way the car was twisted up when he let off of the gas. that is some serious torque right there.

  • I have a 250 i6 in my 65 c10 did you use a turbo from a gm 3.8? can you please msg me with some info on parts list? really would love to hear good ideas. Well odviously you have the formula worked out haha. I refuse to put a v8 in my truck. Ive had the truck since I was 9 lol 20years and now rebuilding it.

  • @hulk625 I have a 1968 elcamino and I want to do the same thing. I hate how all my friends think their v8 will tear it up just because the stock engine has more hp. Id love to mod a straight six to beat a v8

  • @marktse three words!!!! 2-j-z!!!

  • @quigbmx ha. I can't in good conscience drop a 2jz in a 1968 el camino. If was going to leave the chevy engines Id might as well make it a GM vortec4200.

  • @marktse Oh, it's fun. :) If you take a peek through my vids, I have a (no driving, just revving) vid of my modded '66 Olds that came with a 250 inliner. Puts down somewhere in the vicinity of 300hp now still has tons of torque - direct gear (5th gear on the Richmond 6-speed) will pull hard from about 40mph all the way to 120mph in my F-85.

Not enough space to list 'em, but there's a number of companies who make go-fast parts for the Chevy inlines. Drop me a PM and I'll give you a quick rundown

  • nice that sounds really good. How much did you pay for a turbo charger? and how many other things would I have to replace in order to do this?

  • Awesome. I will also have a 250 in my 65 Nova. I acquired a Buick GN Turbo and am hoping to outfit it before installation of the engine. Thanks for the motivation. Would love to see the engine and list of work you did.

  • hey man love the little nova would like to do the same to mine how about some tech and pics of the engine that would be sweet good job you guys

  • Oh my god... That's AMAZING. Was that just a fun run or can the engine really withstand 16psi of boost? If so, what'd you have to do to the internals for that?

  • @snowman4839 who makes speicalty parts for 250? New pistons, new crankshaft, new cam?

  • @marktse Clfiford Performance makes a crap ton of stuff. Langdon's Stovebolt engine co. has a lesser choice but also a good selection. Offenhauser and Clifford Performance both make 4 barrel intakes and multi single barrel setups. Clifford makes headers, cams, and lots of other stuff. Comp cams even makes cams for the 250. I've researched this stuff quite a bit so PM me if you have any other questions.

  • @snowman4839 i';ve located most of the parts I want. What about a performance crankshaft?

  • @marktse can't think of one off of the top of my head but I'm sure they make one. Ask the guys on the inliners.org forums. They should know. The stock crank is pretty strong though. My guess is it should be good through 300-350hp

  • I have a 1967 nova with a 230. What type of setup would you recommend to get around 450-500hp. Obviously turbocharged would be the route. But do you know off a kits that are sold or would i have to fabricate everything. Love the nova on this video something like this setup would be perfect. Any idea what it would cost to build, Or is the 230 even worth builiding. Thanks Again

  • @gmopar83 No they don't make turbo kits for these engines that I know of. I suggest putting a machined 250 crank in your 230 which has a longer stroke and gives you those extra CI. Also put a Clifford 4 barrel intake and 4 barrel carb on it along with a 3 bolt chevy 292 exhaust manifold because the it is larger than stock. Install some lump ports with head work and about 10psi and you should be in business. Talk to the guess on inliners [dot] org forums. They will help you every step.

  • @gmopar83 I ran out of room sorry. My price guess would be including machine work, parts, etc.... $3k-$4k with quality parts and work. $1.5k-$2.5k with cheaper parts or really good deals. I would defiantly recommend building it up. Nothing like the sound of a straight six at 5k+ rpm. You'd be different from all the small block chevys and best of all, it would take a SCUD missle to break your engine. Straight sixes are bulletproof.

  • @gmopar83 Last thing, the reason I love my 250 is because it has so much potential for power and yet, 10mpg is a choice! lol. You can make just as much power as a big v8 without all of the price for parts or gas :-). I'm going to be building up my 250 to race my dad's Buick 400. Check out my channel. I have a bunch of videos showing my car and my dad's.
