you should NEVER picl up a live or dead jellyfish to put them into a tank with your bare hands, poison or not! Scoop them up in a container that completely submerges them in water and place them gentley in the tank.
hey M, check out Episode 71, parts 1&2 for the Mini-Jelliquarium set-up. I am trying to raise the jellies myself. I have a back-up person in place but no tank-reaised inventory until end of June.
hey M, i dont plan on going to set any jellyfish tanks up in stores outside of Los Angeles. depending on which model I am sure I can coach you through the set up.
@Nugburner420 lol the tanks on this site are way too big and expensive for the actual size of the jelly enclosure. you can get a much bigger tank for about $300 at biorb. just got mine and it works perfectly for my 8 moon jellys
hello are these jellies for sale and do you still have them also if there not or of you already sold them did you get them off line or from some fancy dealer
hey S, frreshly hatched baby brine shrimp is your best choice, all eles will quickly settle onto the tanks bottom. you should use a tank specifically made for jellies.
hey there LA this is awesome i was just wondering about how much this system would cost and what do u feed moonjellies i would love to start a tank like this
hey M, tanks for jellyfish are made specifically to keep the inhabitants suspended. they also have special means of introducing and extracting the water so as to not harm the jellies.
hey 1992, if you were a Jelliquarium customer you could get Moon jellies from me, otherwise there really are no other sources... aside from the ocean.
this comment has nothing to do with the video but i was hopeing u could help me anyway. i have several tanks but one 10 gallon tank with a single Oscar about 6 in. long has developed Planaria worms. in an attempt to get rid of them all the gravle was removed, the tank and heater where cleaned, the fillter was replaced with one more powerful and i put in a seeded fillter media from a healthy tank, and all the water was changed, he is feed hikari cichlid staple once a day. and they came back :'(
hey C, i am not knowledgeable in FW but with all you changed you did not address the actual parasites on the fish. its like you changed your clothes but still have the headache. look into an actual medication.
hey Were, regardless whether its fresh or saltwater a biological filter starts once you add the first live item. typically it is 30 to 45 days afterwards before the biological 'cycle' finishes. Jellyfish, on the other hand, tend to not be bothered by detectible levels of Ammonia or Nitrite. i usually begin adding jellies right after the water has stabalized salonity and teperature wise.
I've ran a 120gal saltwater n just got done selling everything. Now I think I wanna run this nice setup. I really like that black

Hey, how do you feel about adding sand in this tank?
tokyomadii 1 year ago
hey T there should be NO obsticles in the tank. gravel would be abbrassive towards the jellyfish.
