@Makron5 haha you're so ignorant, i didn't say i was poor, i just said money was tight and he has had to work his ass off to keep us in a home, getting only about 4 hours of sleep each day and the rest of the time at work. work smarter? if we keep working smarter in this capitalistic society, but the smarter we get, the less jobs there will be, the hard labor is what deserves the luxury, not some dude sitting at a desk.

The only race is the human race, cause white sure isn't a race. There are white hispanics because a true "hispanic" is caucasian. latinamericans are mixed but alot are white also. It's like my mom, she's puerto rican, but white and caucasian looking as can be, and she is not racist but not too fond of "gringos", which to her she defines as white americans and not any europeans any of that. Personally I believe its time to move forward as a race, not as colours.

It's not ironic, and I bet she'd still be fighting today. When Hispanic people are no longer dying on our borders trying to simply live their life -- then we can start complaining, When minority children are no longer systematically disenfranchised and their infant mortality rate is equivalent to that of white children --- then we can complain.

Your remarks and comments seem to be very biggoted. Now one is disputing that what happened then was terrible, but no one alive now was around back then. What happened to your ancestors was done by other peoples ancestors. No one today is at fault, and blaming us, and saying whites have to pay for what other people did a century ago is unfair. I wasn't around then, I've done nothing to you. To hold a whole race responsible for the sins of dead people is racist, at least in my view.

And yet there are systemic inequalities that are caused by the history of racism in this culture. Even assuming that your assumption racism is no longer an issue is right ( hint: you're wrong ) we as white people have benefited from the setup that prevailed in the country for years.
We are one of the wealthiest nations in the world, who's wealth has been built on the backs of everyone who wasn't white. Regardless of who individually DID it, our families benefited. It's time to pay it back.
