every class has its own benefits... some classes are good in aoe dps.. some other on 2 targets dps and some at single target.. so you can't put them in a category.....

I must say, I like how classes like spriest, balance druid, combat rogue and such are good, since they are classes that require some degree of skill to play. frost dk is just 1 dps rotation, it doesn't even differe that much for single target or AoE. same with arcane mage. keep the arcane blast button pressed, and you get pretty competitive dps. nothing against them really, I just hear a lot of people saying they're so boring :(

Frost mage is #1 at DPS in PvE (not the best but Deep Freeze can do up to 250k dmg to a boss) but in pvp #1 DPS class ownz everything. Just stack some little mastery around 15-19 and look the 35k-60k crits

@deniss420 haha thats such a joke ret paladins have been nerfed since the beginning of the expansion, maybe not for PvP because of their incredible burst but whenever I raid and there is a ret paladin he does not come out top UNLESS he works extremely hard. I failed to mention this here but this is the list naturaly. A ret pally with amazing gear and a player that knows what their doing can easily out DPS an arcane mage.

@iTzMirz Depends on gear i am 391 item lvl and on heroics i pull around 30k on a straight dps boss(boss that you dont have to run around too much) On Deathwing per example, i am second with 56k just behind the fire mage at 57k.... next to me arcane mage 52k so if u know what you are doing well u can put up as much dps as everyone....ppl simply sucks at ret pally because there is alots of procs and they dont know wich skill use over wich.

Balance druids with legendary out dps all, followed by arc mages with legendary. But w/o legendary the mage is about 5, Frost DK dps is third by a short distance behind a dragonwrath arc mage and balance druid.

@Davielz No, it's because improper balancing and development has lead to certain classes being favored over others due to the creators design. Ghostcrawler is one of the chief Blizz henchmen and is known to have a mage class character and it has been proven that this has affected character balancing due to this developers biased towards other classes. Favoritism is extremely prevalent when out of all the patches releasd, the only nerfs we see are to classes that don't need it.
