i don't mean to say he's not a good drummer, but it gets so boring to listen to. after 30 seconds of the video i had to shut it off because he's playing the same 2 beats over... and over... and over.

examples: :17-:36 then from :42-:50 and so on

i mean his drumming skills are good, but it's just so boring to listen to. as a drummer myself, i find it more interesting to listen to someone who's good at drumming and improvises their beats on the spot. just my preference. but hey. who am i to say?

i agreed with Singawow..he's a very good coach.He taught me when i was a undergrad in NUS many years ago. He taught me the correct method of drumming,shi xing and traditional ar of lion dance. Learnt alot from him..

Hey. I have a drum that is loose and cold. The beats sound a little off. Have any tips? I found a tip saying to put it in the sun for 2 days. If it works, I have a question. If you put it out for 2 days, do you leave it overnight, or, leave it in the sun then bring it back in and bring it back out tommorow. Reply back. PLEASE.

and i also heard painting a layer of oil on the skin helps keep it crispy too, but i dont know what kind of oil

He teaches NUS, Maris Stella High school, and Dunman High School if i'm not wrong. Im from Dunman High Lion Dance! XD He's a good coach who likes to tell us about his experiences and the traditions of lion dance to keep us interested in lion dance. A very good coach!

Yes..i agreed. He was my coach when i was in NUS. He taught me drummings and narrate many interesting stories and experiences he had.He was particular about drumming and shixing and a wrong move no matter how negligible cannot escape his eyes..A very good coach indeed !
