This doesn't work on LG Optimus 2x. I have it right next to me, I #LOCK# it from my second phone, I #LOCATE# it, nothing happens. I wonder why LG has it pre-installed when it's not working!! @trofet send sms to you n8 like this #locate#(your fsecure code) without space or brackets and the locate word must be in caps by doing this you'll be able to get the location of your n8. Hope this helps

@felipe200794 if you set the f secure to automatically startup wen the phone turns on it would, i did cause i dont like apps running in the background an once you put it to lock when the sim card is changed it automatically activates and locks your phone but these options have to be manually set in the settings

In my country, Indonesia it can send message if come from Telkomsel (081xxxxxxxx) and XL (081xxxxxxxx)

But, f-secure failed to send message from IM3 provider (start with 0856xxxxxxxx)

Cool app, but does it work on Android without having the need to have screen lock permanently activated? In this case remote lock is unnecessary as a permanent screen lock does the same anyhow?

yes you are right if you have screen lock automatically on, then remote lock down is not necessary. The software design for variety of phone system, therefore a remote lock function still need to be there.

And it work on Android. = ) Support up to 2.2 at the moment.

Overall the application is ok, but there are a few things to improve it. First, make it a background process, or at least make it impossible to close without entering the code. Second, When the app sends an SMS with the phone's coordinates, it must be erased from the Sent SMS folder or SMS archives. Otherwise it's easy to track the phone number you send commands from.

You have some good ideas there ! As for erasing the sent sms which contain coordinates is not necessary, cause the recommended procedure ( as the video shows ) is to lock the phone first - if the phone is lock , there will be no access to any functionality in the phone - the sent sms is safe.

@feryxxx The price is the same as a regular SMS. It doesn't go to  their servers. It works like this: when the phone with F-secure recieves an SMS with your code, the app starts looking for your location. When it's done, it just sends an SMS with coordinates to the phone you sent the command SMS from.
