I still have my ticket stub from Monday, July 6th 1998 when I first saw this movie. It was a matinee at 2:50pm and I was alone in the theater. When this scene came up on the screen during the movie I felt as though Matt Damon or Will Hunting was speaking directly to me. Needless to say I never looked at the military industrial complex the same after that. The election of GWB solidified my contempt for these wretches. Power to the people.
