There's a reason why the levels are so short, they're MEANT to be replayed. That's the game, and I think it's tremendously fun.

As for Raocow, I think you should definitely record and show your gold medal runs. After all, those would be your most skillful and fun to watch.

You could try the post commentary thing again. Just record all your runs, keep live commentary on the first couple, dub over the gold medal run. Though, to keep the quality as good as possible, that would kinda require messing with your setup.

It looks awesome, it controls awesome, it sounds awesome, and i have a fetish for ultra hard platforming.

No, you don't, because trial and error does not equal good gameplay. The vast majority of the game's "challenge" is knowing ahead of time which otherwise inevitable trap is plotting to kill you; your fate is otherwise completely out of your hands, as no amount of reflexes or skill can save you.

It's entirely possible to make your game a total asshole while making the obstacles avoidable the first time, but that is beyond the scope of I Wanna be the Guy, and it's a pain in the freaking ass.

I consider IWBTG to have good gamedesign because it never tried to tell me it wasnt about trial and error, the whole game is sorta like a prank played on the player.

And its in no way impossible to dodge stuff first time in it, you get used to it and it becomes a part of the experience, trying to make the most stupid moves because the obvious path always kills you.

But most of all i appriciate the game for demanding so much skill from the player.

Theres nothing wrong with I Wanna Be The Guy, its hard and frusterating at times but its definetly got some creative levels and mechanics, and it suprises you at times. Just a suggestion raocow, the game allows you to save 'ghost files'. These are like, your best runs are saved automatically, so if you choose to rerun the level with a ghost file, you can see yourself getting the gold medal again and show it on video.

Also, once you get gold once, you should be able to get gold all the time afterwards, and the levels are really short, so once you get gold you might wanna replay it the same way on camera.

Bronze is 500-749 points. Silver is 750-999 points. Gold is 1,000+ points. When you pass a checkpoint you receive a set score based on how fast you reach the checkpoint times your multiplier which is based on your current speed bar.
