and the XC was about 2'6-2'9

oh wow! where i live prelim is like 3'6" and the XC is like the same...the eventing levels go like this for us:
Elemental-1'9"-2'3"
Begginer Novice-2'3"-2'6"
Novice-2'6"-2"9
Training Level-3 ft
Preliminary-3'3"-3'6"
Intermediate-3'6"-3'8"
Advanced-3'8"-3'11"
I'm not 100% sure about the last couple levels but this is still the general range of the levels for eventing, at least around here.

so they nicknemed them skinny and tubby
