  • I think its awsome but the voice acting is so unconvensing im sorry to say

  • sega graphics were a bit blocky in this game compared to playstation

  • this definantly takes longer to load between cutscenes entering doors ect, still wana get it tho

  • @ShiningWolf1992 errr what? I'll give you saturn handled 2D better from a hardware perspective. But 3D processing was a mere afterthought on Saturn...

  • 4:30 til 4:35 SWAG ON A HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION!!!

  • Best dialogue in any game! I mean im trying to be scared but everytime they open their mouths in turns into a comedy!

  • what the heck with the game intro??

the person is looks like mortal combat dude..LOL

  • Wow always wanted to get my hands on this game but I could never find it at my local blockbuster..

  • the only thing better about the PS director's cut version was the background music (except for the wesker reunion cut scene)

  • tis looks far superior than the PS version. It's funny how capcom gives the superior versions to sega and nintendo but downgrades their RE games for Playstation consoles...

  • Better than the PSOne version!

  • I love how Barry is all like " WHAT IS IT?" What did he think it was if it wasn't a zombie... I wonder...

  • This was the version that got me absolutely hooked on the series way back in 1998. I would play it hours at a time.

  • "Kenneth was killed too, maybe by this creature" she says, as his flesh hangs from it's mouth.

  • *stands in the blood and bits of brain*

    "What IS it?"

  • Iove Resident evil and house of the dead for one of the same reasons, cheesy voice acting :D

  • Does the SS port have the auto aim feature?

  • Thanks for post this video.I still have my Saturn and the game.A lot of things to remember for those days.I got the game used in 1998,13 years ago,a lot of time and looks like yesterday.

    I think i'm getting old.

  • 7:12 - 7:41

    *Looks at zombie..*

Hmmm, I don't think that I'll play with THAT today

*walks slowly towards the door and leaves the room where the zombie is sitting there just waiting for her.*

    "Awww, phooey!"

  • In the 90s PSX was used to stand for the PlayStation 1 (I saw it used in magazines at the time) before the PS-X came out in Japan. In 2002 or 2003, I think, sometime after the PS2.

  • He gives her a lockpick but not a gun...

  • I forgot how cheezy the intro to this game was. lol

  • @tokinblckgie

OH hell no... Resident evil is far from cheesy.... YEAH maybe some of the characters comments but the game is fricking awesome....

  • Had PS and Sega version but When I first left home at 16 in 1998 I managed to pickup a cheap saturn from gamestation for my place. Brought this and I swear, Saturn version kicks twat out of playstation...looks nicer as can been seen in this video, more polygons and smoother animation plus it had the battle mode.Shame they never released the others, or at least Ressy 2 anywho...

  • @RibNSpicY

No way, the Saturn version is far inferior to the PS original. Anyone with eyes can see that the colors are washed out on the saturn, they character models are blurry. It's a mess.

  • @snake2006 the saturn version is more complete, battle mode, 2 tyrants ... its true the characters models are inferior but the decors are superiors than the ps1.

  • @snake2006

The graphical differences and negligible. The Saturn offers more depth in terms of gameplay due to the extra features. There's a reason why Capcom needed to release a "RE: Director's Cut" for the PSX ;)

  • @milesgabourel1 PSX is Play Station 1.

  • der beste teil!

  • "ok, let me handle this"

    Handle what, an empty hall

    Lol.

  • @reservoirdog666 I freakin love that bit!

  • hey! come here-er!

  • @XtremAlien

    (And more colorful models.)

  • Comment removed

  • Is the ss version any different to the psx version?

  • @SleeplessSinger In the SS version their is a Battle mode once you finish the game but other than that they are pretty similar.

  • @jackgordon38 ...and the lack of transparencies for smoke, glass and things. They are replaced with a chequering effect to compensate. It doesn't look quite as good, but who cares. Its a brilliant game. Hilarious too. My favourite character is Barry Burton. He's the most clueless detective ever; "What is this?" (Its a mansion). "What is it?" (It was a distant gunshot). "Hmm, a dining room." (no shit, Sherlock). He's the best! The video at the start of a new game is awesome too. Very Youtube!

  • Ah this capture card is great, you should put commentary over it though.

I love this game but im hopeless at it :(

Ppity the rest of them didnt get released on the saturn.

  • @amurphy245 Yeah its a great card. I want to do commentary but this card only allows you to use its internal sound system so I can't use my microphone to record my voice. I'am working on it however :D

And don't worry I'm real bad at them too lol

  • @jackgordon38 Just talk over the finished movie if you can,i can do it on imovie.

  • @amurphy245 Yeah I did that for a gameplay video I just uploaded although I think the style of video is different though when you do that. But if everyone is fine with it then I might use it more often :D

  • o man such a long load time the DS version is by far the best version

  • @talesoftheabyssub Yeah although this version does have some good additions nothing beats the DS version in my view.

  • @jackgordon38 The version by far to go is the Gamecube remake. It tops them all.

  • My god that took forever too load lol

  • @MrLetsPlay lol

  • @xTHExSTIGx lol its a great system mate, Although definitely get an adaptor to play imports since a lot of Japanese games are awesome on the Saturn.

  • i actually think the detail is slightly higher in this then the ps1 version. onnnly a little tho...

  • @MikePitcher Yeah on 3d objects the saturn sucks but the Character models actually look better on the Saturn I think.

  • I love the voice acting in this game it's so bad it's good and almost as if the people saying the words speak English as a 3rd or 4th language.

The REmake or the Gamecube is incredible as well.

  • @DANW547 I know the dialouge is terrible too lol.

"WHAT what is this " XD

  • Ah, the nostalgia.

The only way i can relive the magic of RE1, currently, is through Umbrella Chronicles.

I MIGHT buy Resident Evil: Archives for the Wii (Wii port of the GameCube remake).

10:10 - "Master of unlocking", lol, after all these years it never gets old, good times, good times...

  • @AlexDergousov You could always try get a hold of a PSX and grab yourself a copy of RE1. The Wii version is just the Gamecube version basically nothing has changed except its on one disc instead of 2.

  • @jackgordon38

    Oh, i see. Thanks

  • @AlexDergousov No problem, Also I will keep an eye out for a PSX incase you won't one :D

  • @jackgordon38

    Nah, no need.
