The Rational Response Squad was NEVER the "symbol" of atheism. Sapient and O'Connor are to me as Cameron and Comfort are to you. Yes, I'm technically on the same side as them, but they're still pretty stupid. The RRS is a poorly organized group of people with nothing better to do, and pointing out their current situation doesn't give strength to your argument.

The funny part is, it wouldn't take me long to dig up about a dozen real Christian "heroes" and where they are now. I should note that 90% of these alleged heroes are in prison. In most cases, for fraud. That's not to mention the countless stories of church crimes.

About 80% of the prison population is Christian. Only 0.2 % are Atheist. Yes there are criminals who are atheist, but not very many if you stack them up to Christian numbers. Atheists take up roughly 30% of the country's population, so you can see the inconsistency there.
And I'm specifically talking about well-known Christian "heroes". Name me some Atheistic heroes that are in prison.
Good luck, most of them are world-leading scientists.

Hi. You're misrepresenting the facts. If you include "secularists" and "nontheists" along with the self-proclaimed "atheists", the prison population is proportionately higher than Christians.
Atheists DO NOT take up 30% of the country's population. When you include secularists, nontheists, and atheists, the atheist population is 15%.

Atheists, like all humans, are capable of being mindless sheep. However, I would argue that it is not as inherent to atheism as it is to Christianity, as the term "sheep" is actually used in Christian literature, as well as in the Bible, to describe the followers of "The Great Shepherd", Jesus Christ.
The RRS is one of many examples of the problems with "organized atheism". As Richard Dawkins once put it : "It's like trying to herd cats".
