I had a Tilt for about 2 years and I loved it. However after a while i got tired of it being so thick and heavy. I recently got the LG Xenon. Compared to the Tilt it took a LOT of getting used to because the keys were so much smaller. I came across this phone about a month ago and fell in love. It didn't seem quite as heavy as the Tilt did, though it was just a demo phone so that could be the difference. I miss the way the keys were on the Tilt, i never double-typed letters like I do now.

on the bright side i found opera mini browser works for my stock trading on the Fuze and since i removed tf3d, my phone hasn't froze once. I've also learned to scroll with your finger but launch links or activate buttons with the stylus and you'll be less stressed out by this phone.

bottom line touch screens should be finger friendly.  Oh and let me add that I love he screen but damn i bought the phone 1st and foremost to do work and communicate on the road. Touchflo renders the Fuze useless.

Using touch flo on this phone will have you wanting to slit your wrists. I removed it from my Fuze and went back to the wm6 today screen and the phone is SOOOOO much better to use. If only HTC had a today screen plugin for the Fuze. What the hell were they thinking? I would love to get the today screen from my tilt back but it doesn't work on this phone everything looks miniaturized.

Really? My Alltel branded HTC Touch Pro always picks up GPS. Maybe AT&T decided to lock it to work on only their own GPS software, unlike Alltel, Verizon or other branded (and unbranded) HTC Touch Pro's are unlocked and can be used for free with programs like Google Maps.

oh it is not locked by at&t gps will find a satellite if i pull over and stand outside my car...pretty much renders it useless for driving direction. And let me tell you who ever at HTC decided to put TF3D on this phone should be hung and strung up by the balls. The lag is so horrible it's like a random app launcher. Run your finger across the screen and you never know what will launch The thing you will know is that it won't be the app your trying to launch.

I even tried to use the same opera version from my tilt and NG it just doesn't display the page the same so half the buttons on the website are invisable. On my tilt alerts kept coming every 5 minutes until you dismiss them Not on Fuze 1 alert and better hope you looking at the phone when it comes. Do yourself a favor and dump the touchflo..more a nuisance than anything else. So far I hate this phone..to bad my tilt kept dying and they "upgraded" me to this POS.

after 4 days of use..i don't have rave reviews of the fuze. Even the most basic us of the phone become difficult with this phone. I can't make a simple phone call from my contacts without opening up the wrong contact or opening up a window i had no intention of opening. The scrolling is difficult to use. The speaker volume is lame compared to the tilt. the browser on my tilt allowed me to trade stocks on my brokerage website..the browers on fuze no go!

Why do they make a touch screen that requires a stylus to use! While better than the Tilt. I still would much rather have a larger screen and finger friendly on screen buttons! It's such a pain to have to use a stylus. Personally I find the full key board unusable and again would rather have a bigger screen with bigger on screen keyboard. Pretty nice upgrade from the tilt but still a bit disappointing.

I have an HTC Fuze, and my touch screen is sort of... in the middle. It has enough strength so that you won't accidentally hang up the phone with your ear, but it's sensitive enough to allow ease and light finger swipes with the Touch Flo 3D User Interface.

i had hands on with a quickfire recently when a co-worker got one... she returned it after about two weeks... the touch screen is slow in response time, the phone is really bulky... which you can expect from a touch screen phone with qwerty keyboard... overall the impression i honestly got from the quickfire was cheap. i say if your choice is b/t those two for sure get the fuze.

I was looking at the Touch Pro before AT&T announced it as the Fuze... And i;ve been back and forth between wanting an iPhone and the Fuze. But the iPhone experience s**ts on WinMobile no matter how much HTC's layered on top of it...

Plus, this thing is even more expensive than the iPhone 3G 16GB---$350 vs $300... I love the seamless way u can sync outlook stuff w/ WInMobile phones, but i'll have to bit the bullet and get an iPhone...

Well, yes and no.

Plain vanilla WinMo 6 was designed for use with a stylus. Your finger can do the navigating, but it's not optimal. That's why HTC designed the TouchFLO overlay for WinMo. So the main menu and most of the tasks you'll have to do is finger-friendly. Worst case scenario is you have to pull out a stylus for the obscure stuff.

well you can use both actually but on this if you want use that slide out keyboard and you want to put a number in you just press the function key and then you can type numbers

Android is the Google OS on the TMobile G1 and has nothing to do with this phone. As for numbers... if this is anything like my HTC Wizard, you would press the function key on the slide-out keyboard twice to lock it, and then use the numbers embedded in the keyboard. Very easy to do.
