i found out now, its definetly fry, with a lot of diaphram, because its impossible to scream like that with false, its fry i use the same technique.

My guess was fry too, I'm trying to use fry, but if I'm doing it too much it loses the distortion a bit and I sound like a dying chicken :S

ya some guy told me the same exact thing is it the guy named gary he does throes, he who, and the declaration cover, cause it think what matt meant was that his scream sounds deathy with low it goes, but to honestly try and scream like trivium with death chord it would never work

yeah it was him. well Matt also learned at Mellissa Cross, so I think he meant the death as it is, but donno, it's confusing, it's hard to scream with death like trivium, also I still don't get it what is false chord screaming and whats the big difference between death and false chord. k well listen toy insurrection cover on my profile cause i use fry not as good as matt though and singing sort of sucks but it sounds most like matt, and death and false is the same, a good example of false is in the beginning of a song called "when keeping it real goes wrong" and and bfmv does use it but not as well as trivium, but matt uses fry and corey uses a grunt which is different, so check my cover and see what my fry sounds like, beware its not the best but the fry sounds about right

ya tim uses an airy scream which is false chord, and howard does fry as well but he may use some false but mainly fry

I donno how they manage to use it so good, and so loud, mine loses a lot from it's raspines and distortion if I use it too much :(

well they get lessons from the pros like melissa cross so they should be good, and the scream is only at talking level, it shouldnt be too loud or forced, all you have to do is learn to project up and out, use your diaphram for all the air BUT not too much, and then hum with your mouth closed and make the sound go foward so it vibrates you lips if there is no vibration your not projecting out, you should get the hang out it eventually, if i only had a camera i would put up a tutorial

That would be cool, but Matt's screams sound really loud, also there was a video for As Daylight Dies where Howard and Adam D showed some of the songs and Howard screamed whitout a mic and it was really loud

it would, im mean yes most are loud, what i mean is dont force it to be loud, work up to a higher volume, and search "making of shogun pt. 2" and 30 sec, in matt does some screaming with no mic it should be at about that level

yeah the reason he quit screaming so much on The Crusade.. and just screaming live was because he would fuck up his voice everynight... but he's been taking screaming lessons so now he screams without it killing him

yeah dude. at the concerts it depends on where you are in the croud. some vids all u get is bass drum and bass. and others you get no vox. and others you get only 1 guitar and cant hear the others. but live you can hear is perfectly

Hmm,sometimes I really don't get why all the fans swarm around Trivium...They should check out Sylosis because they're neck and neck,even a little better, to me at least.
