Thanks Patti for posting!! The times I have met him I've never been disappointed in his behavior. I can say confidently in the 3 times I've had convention encounters he's never been rude to me or unfriendly in any way. I'm looking forward to seeing him in Atlanta this year! I didn't know who James was 3 months ago.  Then I watched "Buffy" and now I can confidently say he's on my radar now!! What a great actor, and it's so nice to see that he can be this way with fans if the setting is not crazy. Reminds me of my other big, big celebrity crush Elijah Wood, who is legendary for his niceness to fans. :-)

He really is. When he feels comfortable in his surroundings and with the people around him (ie. not afraid he's going to get mobbed or grabbed inappropriately), he is so wonderfully nice and freely interacts this way with everyone. It's rare he can be this open, but occasionally.... :)

Piedii, these beautifully edited together clips of James with fans were taken during two impromptu, informal meet and greets after he performed as "Jack" in Oscar Wilde's play, "The Importance of Being Earnest" in LA. This video footage was at the Skirball Center, in the foyer ouside the auditorium, on June 20 and 21. The play ran for five nights total and is an LA Theatre Works radio production that will be available online and on CD with a tentative release date in November this year. :-)

What a man! I wish my taste were as good in my personal life as it is in my fantasies. It's a rare celebrity who has such grace, dignity and compassion - without loads of that pesky pessimism some seem to embrace... thinking nobody cares for them, but for their fame. People love James because he oozes kindness. Though, he might want to keep away from me. I don't think I could stop with just a hug - I'd need at least some solid cheek smoochage.

In case anyone was curious...lol...At :52 or so, when James was talking with me and he looks like he is drumming, he was actually telling me how hard that evening's performance had been for him. He tried to put more into his part and yet Matthew, who played Algernon, had also changed his a bit too, and so he felt he was having to really struggle to keep up with his co-star. :-) James did a simply magnificent job each night.

You included two parts where I was taking pictures of two very dear friends, both women that are not so quick to want to get their pictures taken with James, either due to shyness or just uncomfortable doing so...I am so very delighted to see their beautiful, beaming smiles in this video!
