What always amazed me is that Galactica, the oldest ship of the fleet had had most of her armor removed, yet still survived the first attack and many others afterwords. Did they get more armor installed of was Galactica that tough?
@firepatriot42 In the miniseries they never mentioned removing armor plating from the Galactica just the ammo from the Main and point defense gun batteries. Besides the armor setup is standard for the first or second generation Battlestars. also the exposed ribs were not only heavily armored the is here the point defense gun batteries were installed.
Ity's a pretty good video actually, but I would recommend a different soundtrack, something a little more, uh, is epic a good word? Like sirenia's 7 sirens and a silver tear or requim for a dream soundtrack or something from immediate music, something a little more dramatic and over the top. I do like the way you sort of 'montaged' it. Shows their decline into despair nicely :)
@msdetroitman117 - I will keep that in mind - also, after 9/11, hearing all the beautiful stories of heroism in my lovely nyc, was what kept me from slitting my wrists, i was so depressed - BSG is tough and depressing series to watch, only thru our strength can we truly survive our hardships.
@seldinjoy I hear you, two days after 9/11 I cried for three hours straight. But all the stories of survival and heroism both in New York and the Pentagon, as well as the badass passengers on Flight 93 made me feel a lot better.
But at least Battlestar is all fictional which makes it still fun to watch.

If this were my video, I might make some of the slower moving scenes shorter or clip them to make them build more tension, also I'd take off some of the text from the eps, like opening credits, etc. but outside of that I think it tells the story. Also, a note about "depressing"... BSG is a fairly depressing series, if you choose to view it as such, but it also shows the strength of the human race. Yes, the attack on the colonies is devastating... but we survive!
@seldinjoy If you woke up tomorrow and saw on CNN that half the United States had been nuked to hell and millions of people were dead and dying, how cheery would you be? I'd be pretty damn depressed myself, but that's just me having a heart.
@magnocain Yes, it is true. The realisetors have said that, they have wanted to make an hommage to "Firefly" and put an ship like this in the colonial fleet. ^^ "Flirefly" & "serenity" are awesome series!
@stringerboi Here's the thing. The point is to make a music video, not simply put the episodes up. This is youtube, and fan made material is rather common here. And if you've been looking for pure BSG clips, you may not have had much luck. Can you guess why? Because their constantly taken down whenever somebody puts one up. This is a tribute to the series, as are many other videos.
