@snoopy7033 This beats Two Towers. You have to play it to see. Dragon Age: Origins didn't look very good from gameplay either but once you play it, it's amazing just like this game. It's better than Skyrim, that's for sure.

Looks a little clunky to me gameplay wise, combat seems to flow better than the roaming play. I do like the look of it, well designed. I do see some cross over in gameplay between Skyrim and this (Slow motion kill cam for instance) but they are essentially different games, this is clearly a more linear narrative that pushes you forwards through the game while Skyrim says off with you, do what you like. Also when Skyrim is first person and the this third, there's no way to compare them.

hmmm at the beginning there's only 4 or 5 (I can't remember which) Nazgul in the Shire-Bree area. It would make sense if the other ones were up in Fornost. Surely not all of the Nazgul would have overrun the Ranger outpost. They would have had a couple still searching for Frodo. Which has the higher priority, finding the Ringbearer and retrieving the Ring or killing a couple Rangers and meeting with that evil guy what's-his-long-name?
@IGame4Eire no it's not at all like WoW. It's an RPG. You don't see other players running around while you do your crap. You're with yourself or 1 or 2 of your friends playing together. There is a difference between an MMO and an RPG. RPG's actually have stories that most people pay attention to. The MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is the one exception so far.

In an MMO, there are other players online walking around in-game and you can group with a lot of different players (often up to 16 or 24 or 32). In this game you can group with up to 2 other people. What I meant is that you don't see any online players running around doing their own stuff. If you have a group you're pretty much forced to do the same objective.

funnily enough on entering Whiterun in Skyrim I was immediately reminded of the Rohirrim motif of horses found on the houses and of Meduseld(which Tolkien named after the Hall in Beowulf)up on its hill like Dragonsreach is in Whiterun. Tolkien mixed anglo-saxons with horses to make the rohirrim. im happy to see his influence in Whiterun as well.

@pey666 true. but you can't speak for tolkien either. maybe he would like the fact that his works inspire many. we would never know. but i know that i like LOTR and Skyrim, played a lot of fantasy RPGs inspired by Tolkien and I feel that it turned out a lot better this way instead of everything being LOTR.

hmmm at the beginning there's only 4 or 5 (I can't remember which) Nazgul in the Shire-Bree area. It would make sense if the other ones were up in Fornost. Surely not all of the Nazgul would have overrun the Ranger outpost. They would have had a couple still searching for Frodo. Which has the higher priority, finding the Ringbearer and retrieving the Ring or killing a couple Rangers and meeting with that evil guy what's-his-long-name?

@IGame4Eire no it's not at all like WoW. It's an RPG. You don't see other players running around while you do your crap. You're with yourself or 1 or 2 of your friends playing together. There is a difference between an MMO and an RPG. RPG's actually have stories that most people pay attention to. The MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is the one exception so far.

@IGame4Eire no.... what I mean is that it isn't a primarily online game. In an MMO, there are other players online walking around in-game and you can group with a lot of different players (often up to 16 or 24 or 32). In this game you can group with up to 2 other people. What I meant is that you don't see any online players running around doing their own stuff. If you have a group you're pretty much forced to do the same objective.

funnily enough on entering Whiterun in Skyrim I was immediately reminded of the Rohirrim motif of horses found on the houses and of Meduseld(which Tolkien named after the Hall in Beowulf)up on its hill like Dragonsreach is in Whiterun. Tolkien mixed anglo-saxons with horses to make the rohirrim. im happy to see his influence in Whiterun as well.
