  • Buzz is a beasty driver haha

  • you cut too early there was a sign that said "the city of Emeryville" thats where the pixar studios are in real life

  • @Milesprower1100: I am fully aware of that sign in "Cars", but the focus of this nearly three-year-old video was to highlight the Pizza Planet truck.

  • @Milesprower1100: I am fully aware of that sign in "Cars", but the purpose of this three-year-old video was to focus on the Pizza Planet truck.

  • It's funny because that's how a pizza delivery guy would normally drive, so no one suspects anything.

  • much respect, brother. This is the kind of Disney and Pixar we all know, love, and miss.

  • @Speedbob2438: "Miss"? They're still making great stuff, dude. And it's not like the old stuff's gone - you can still buy the DVDs and such.

  • @dogman15 by that I mean that if I see one more Justine Beiber, Jonas Brothers, etc. attempt by Disney, I'm gonna explode. I mean that they're A) rarer and B) less well done now than they used to be, just imo. They're still good, but few and far between

  • Where does it appear in that ratatouille scene?

  • @gemstar102: If you have annotations on, I believe I attempt to point it out. You can't see it in this low-res video, but in HD or Blu-ray, the truck appears on a bridge in the distance.

  • that is sick man, i didnt realize all these random cameos of the pizza truck...

pixar needs to make a movie about a pizza man or just the fuckin truck, that would be sick!

  • that truck is freaking awesome

  • Cool

  • So what was the point of the ending? where you wanted us to notice something?

  • @DeJay323: That they mirrored shots from the original Toy Story: 1) The camera pan down from the sky to the place where the truck comes to a stop. 2) Buzz poking his head above the window to survey the situation. 3) Buzz finds a way into the destination that keeps them hidden from humans.

  • @dogman15 oooh. wow. you have a key eye. thank you for pointing that out :D

  • @DeJay323: Key? Keen? Which did you mean?

  • @dogman15 keen. ma bad.

  • duh

  • a113

  • @slugmouth: Please don't spam nonsense comments on my videos.

  • @dogman15 no, no, no… a113 is a number sequence that appears in ALL of the pixar movies. it's an easter egg, like the truck.

  • @dogman15 thats like the studio number where they make these movies

  • @poundokush420: It's one of the classrooms at California Institute for the Arts, where many of the original Pixar artists took classes.

  • Did anyone notice Buzz giving the "Live long and Prosper" sign at 1:42?

  • @SilvaWolfChick13: Also known as the "Vulcan salute". Yes, Buzz also did that in the first Toy Story after he says "You are a sad, strange little man; and you have my pity. Farewell!"

Many people have noticed that one already, but maybe less have noticed the one here, in Toy Story 2.

  • @dogman15 I think that's hilarious...he does the "Vulcan Salute" abot 6-7 times in Toy Story 2, a couple of times in Toy Story, and at least 3-4 times in Toy Story 3. BTW, I saw the pizza Planet truck in Toy Story 3...somewhere...

  • @SilvaWolfChick13: Check out the article "Pizza Planet truck" on the Pixar Wiki. (pixar.wikia.com)

  • When I went to see "Cars 2", the truck was also in the movie, too.

  • @mkend3: Todd appears in the far distance of the London section of the triptych poster, in front of a fountain. I'm told (but have not yet personally verified) that Todd appears at the end of the film in Radiator Springs.

  • @dogman15 He is just look at the right crowd in the race in Radiator Springs and there's a truck with a rocket on it.

  • @IamtherealElecMan: I'll be sure to look for him the next time I see the film. (By the way, do you remember that one strange car with her eyes in her headlights? What did you think of that?)

  • @dogman15 It was strange and after that moment I realized why PIXAR put the eyes in the windshield.. but kinda funny.

  • @IamtherealElecMan: I haven't seen Cars 2 in theaters a second time, but I did see the Pizza Planet truck in a TV ad for the film. Todd appears in Radiator Springs during the final race, behind the haybales next to Van and Minny, in the section of Main Street where those abandoned businesses are, nearby the firehouse/courtroom.

  • in cars2 a113 apires on maters bumper, the screen wif the engine, and the spy plan back fin...i fond them by myself!!!!!

  • Translation: In Cars 2, A113 appears on Mater's bumper (actually, it's his license plate number). A113 also appears as part of the Heads-Up-Display on the screen displaying the engine-only view of the mysterious blue car that is helping the Lemons (I have not personally verified this, though it sounds likely), and A113 also appears on Siddeley the jet's tailfin (- this has been confirmed by multiple sources).

  • thanks,i cant wrigt good.sorry.but the engine screen it is on the botton of the engine screen...thumes up if you seen it.by the way can you transelate this to?

  • What you said: Thanks, I can't write well, sorry; but the engine screen, it is on the bottom of the engine screen... thumbs up if you saw it. By the way, can you translate this too?

My response: First of all, I hope you're learning correct English grammar and spelling by reading my corrections. Secondly, I read on the Pixar wiki that "A113" actually appears when Finn and Holley are looking at the photo of that one character, not the bad guys' video in Italy. I've only seen the film once.

  • can you do a number 3 with the newer movies?

  • @dodgedip123: I no longer have access to the tools and software needed to complete such a project with the same level of relative ease/difficulty as I did two or more years ago. Sorry; I wish I could, but I just don't have the time for that. In my life today, any time I devote to the production of YouTube videos is going to be focused on my song arrangements and such in Cubase/Pro Tools. Stay tuned, and hope I don't procrastinate. *groan*

  • at 1:22 you see Flo from Cars

  • @LeFT4DeAd2RoOkS: That's not Flo by a long shot. That's Al McWhiggin's car, believed by the IMCDb to be a 1955 Ford Mystere with the tailfins of a 1959 Cadillac, headlights of a 1957 Lincoln, and the top of a 1956 Ford Fairlane. imcdb[dot]org slash vehicle_221197-Ford-Mystere-1955.html As for Flo, the "official" designation is 1951 GM LeSabre, but commenters have been arguing about that at vehicle_38280-GM-LeSabre-1951.html (Besides, TS2 was 1999 and Cars was 2006. Do the math.)

  • Wall-E's truck is so obvious and yet I didn't see it when I watched the movie D:

  • Thats a real truck in real life too. I think it is some toyoat truck.

  • @67tr876: The Toyota truck is a real truck. The Toyoat must be some sort of boat hybrid, I guess?

  • @dogman15 O am so sorry I mean toyota lol the pizza truck is a toyoat.

  • Message to anyone: I was kidding in my last comment about the boat hybrid thing.

  • you forgot two! the Pizza Planet truck appeared in TS 3 too! it was zipping past Chuckles, big baby, and lotso as they walked back to their owners house. also you missed UP, the truck showed up 3 times! one while Carl's house flouts away, when Russell is being lowered from the house and is seen in the parking lot, and at the end of the movie when Carl and Russell are eating ice cream on the curb, in the far corner, you can see it. its hard to spot, but you can see the little PP spaceship!

  • @nicholaskingmequeen: I've lost count how many times I've had to tell people this: I made this video way back in 2009, before Up was in theaters, much less on DVD. How could I possibly include scenes from it and Toy Story 3? I am very fully aware of the Truck's apearances in Pixar's latest two released films (Up and Toy Story 3 - Cars 2 does NOT count yet).

Besides, this video was made on a whim when I had access to the right stuff in high school. It would be very hard for me to make another.

  • I just have one thing to say. Long live the Pizza Planet truck!

  • Ratatouille's Pizza Planet truck is hard to find.

  • @greenth1ng: That it is. I have only seen it in blown-up images online, which unfortunately were taken from the 480p DVD instead of the 1080p (or 720p) Blu-ray.

  • I don't know if some one already said this but @ 1:20 they show that car Flo from Cars.

    And again @1:58

  • @zabrinapenguin Um... I just noticed Flo is that guys car :D,My bad.

  • @zabrinapenguin: YouTube user @MrBally0 already pointed out the similarities between Al McWhiggin's car (primarily a 1955 Ford Mystere) and Flo (primarily a 1951 Buick GM LeSabre). Flo does NOT appear in Toy Story 2; they hadn't invented her yet.

Your newest comment was posted as I was writing this reply. You're right, that isn't Flo. Good job.

  • @dogman15 that is flow disney anoynced that in evrey pixar movie has a chareter from future moveis in them this is one of them.up also has lotso from toy story 3 in it.

  • I don't know if some one already said this but @ 1:20 they show that car Flo from Cars.

  • wow at 1:15 eve says f**k

  • @zkemp8426: That's just your imagination. It's what you'd perhaps like to believe she's saying, when it's very likely only an "Aw..." or "Aah!" I doubt Elissa Knight actually said the F word into her mic in the recording booth, nor would Ben Burtt (or anyone at Pixar) alter her voice to make it resemble that.

I hear an "Aah." Shortly after that, I hear an angry "Oooh!" No F words, perceived or real.

  • ok i just noticed something in toy story 2: the car that the chicken man(the guy who kindnapps woddy) has is the same model as flo from cars.

and the store big als toy barn in toy story 2 also has the same name as big al in cars (hes mentioned by lizzie during the scene in the courthouse)

  • @MrBally0: Al McWhiggin's car is primarily a 1955 Ford Mystere, but it also has elements of a 1957 Lincoln (headlights), 1956 Ford Fairlane (top), a 1955 Ford Mystere, and a 1959 Cadillac (tailfins). IMCDb has identified Flo as being a 1951 GM LeSabre, and a trivia item on IMDb says "Flo isn't based on any single car but shares elements of the 1951 Buick LeSabre, the 1951 Buick XP-300, and the 1957 Chrysler Dart -- all actual show cars."

  • Big Al is such a minor character in Cars, and has nothing to do with Al's Toy Barn.

  • "Use the wand of power..."

'GRRRRR, CLUNK!" cracks me up every time for some reason.

  • "Whoa, oh boy! WHOAAAAAAAAAA" lmao, im seriously dying here

  • Another thing, that airport looks a lot like Toronto's Pearson international.... never noticed that before.

  • @waterlizardz123: I have a strong feeling Pixar based it off of either the Oakland International Airport or the San Francisco International Airport. Like the Tri-County International Aiport in Toy Story 2, both airports have the same general external appearance (especially SFO), and the Oakland Airport's terminal is rounded like this one, which allows cars from the city to drive through when dropping off or picking up passengers. Pixar is im Emeryville, you know, not that far away from me.

  • *"im" -> "in"

  • @dogman15 oh cool, yeah maybe they did base it on that.. but Toronto's airport also has that feature, well many airports do now, but yeah, it's pretty cool, drive in drop them off or pick them up...

  • @waterlizardz123: You're right - many airports (very likely) do look like that. You're referencing Toronto Pearson International Airport because it's nearby where you live. Pixar (and myself) tend to want to reference SFO or OAK because those are our local aiports. To each his own.

  • @waterlizardz123: I can't imagine an airport doing it any other way - I mean, it just works so well!

  • when the camera panned over the raceway and in big letters it said PISTON CUP. there was a trophy thing on the left that when i looked quick i thought it was an I. (that would be I PISTON CUP)

  • @Phanfer: Hmmmm.....

  • i notice how they did the same thing with the airport and the pizza place.

  • @popfluster: Yes! You're right! You win a cookie.

Seriously, though. I am glad you can see that parallel - some people don't get it.

  • @dogman15 alot of movies do that in their series, it just takes a keen eye to notice XD you sir have the best

  • @davidandrex2: Thanks.

  • I found the truck in the pixar movie Up. When the old man is just starting to fly with the balloons. Its in the scene right after he passes the little girls room. and the pizza planet truck is parked in the upper right. right next to a black car.

  • @kapoopoof: You are most certainly correct. I didn't not know that, thank you.

(Sometimes the double negative has a use.)

  • dude you didn't need to see that the truck zoomed past the camera we can all clearly see that

  • @RocketsFan1192: The point was that it was mirroring a nearly identical shot from the first Toy Story, where the Truck speeds past the camera (same angle and everything) on it's way to Pizza Planet.

  • @dogman15: Oh no! I put an apostrophe in that its! I meant possessive, not contracted "it is"!

  • I SAW IT IN UP!

  • @roloboy97: SO DID I! WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?

  • @dogman15 I DONT KNOW!

  • @dogman15 You aren't shouting, you're typing with either Shift, or Caps-Lock..

    Ya Dummie! :)

anyway, NICE VIDEO!! didn't knew most of these things! (although the Wall-E and Cars one were very obvious)

  • @SkullSyker: On the internet, typing in ALL CAPS is almost always taken to be the same thing as YELLING AT SOMEONE! Obviously, I know that in order to type in all caps, one must hold down Shift or press the Caps Lock key.

    And thanks.

  • @dogman15 True, I am the Dummie..

  • lol Bob Costas during cars

  • nice, both 1 and 2!!!!!

  • it's funny how buzz jacks the pizza planet truck.

  • oops, srry u already knew that, u look irritated too, didn't read the comments XD. Anyways hope to see a part 3 soon :D

  • @frenchfrey65:

Don't expect a "Part 3" anytime soon. For one, it would only have clips from two movies. Second reason: Toy Story 3 isn't on DVD yet. Third reason: These two videos were made under very special circumstances. Fourth: It's a lot of work and time for me to rip and edit video from DVDs. Thanks for your interest, though!

  • I see what you did there at the end of the clip! XD

Btw do u have a part 3? I hear the PP truck is in Up and i saw it obviously in Toy Story 3, kind of obvious but i thought u could post it or something for everyone else who hasn't seen them, i haven't seen up yet so idk where it is XD

  • what do you mean in the last part where you want us to notice something, what was i meant to notice. i thought u mite have meant buzz's feet coming out the bottom of that animal-carrier thingy

  • @Micooliscool13:

What I want you to notice are the the cinematographic similarities between the endings of both Pizza Planet truck scenes in Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2. Does that make sense?

  • @dogman15 oh yeah, just got it thanks

  • Cars is probably the most clever cameo of the truck. I mean the whole film is about talking cars, so we actually get to see the truck come to life. Genius!

  • it was in toy story 3. just you know so

your so wrong in that by the way this was in the the 3 of toy story

  • @cj397:

I KNOW the truck was in Toy Story 3! I already know that!

    You misspelled "you're" as "your".

The run-on sentence "your so wrong in that by the way this was in the 3 of toy story" makes absolutely no sense. I think you meant to say "You're so wrong in that. By the way, this was in the third movie of the Toy Story series." Even then, it doesn't make sense.

  • @dogman15:

I meant to say, "Even then, it still doesn't make much sense."

  • @dogman15 Hahah your an idiot. that was an obvious joke and you had to try to make yourself look smart by thinking that was real.

  • @cj397:

And you're not making any sense. Care to clarify what you're trying to tell me in more clear language? How am I an idiot? How was I to know that what you said was a joke? I'm not really trying to make myself look smart, and what do you mean by "thinking that was real"?

  • i saw it too in toy story 3

  • @cjqt94:

    1. I already know.

    2. You saw the truck. Great for you.

    3. You're using incorrect syntax. "Too" is incorrectly placed. Say either "I too saw it in Toy Story 3" or "I saw it in Toy Story 3, too."

Everyone! You don't need to tell me you saw the truck in Toy Story 3!

  • @dogman15 In future just don't comment on videos if you don't want people to reply to them. They were only telling you they saw the truck in Toy Story 3, so don't make such a big deal out of not wanting them to reply to you!

  • When I went to see "Toy Story 3", the truck was also in the movie, too.

  • @mkend3:

Now I'm probably going to get a ton of comments from people saying they saw the truck in Toy Story 3. YES, PEOPLE - THE TRUCK IS IN TOY STORY 3. I SAW IT. You don't need to tell me that (*spoilers*) Lotso, Big Baby, and Chuckles ride on its back bumper in the rain to get from Daisy's house to Sunnyside Daycare.

Thank you, Mkend3, for telling me you saw the truck - you're the first. Hopefully few others will bother to tell me.

  • @dogman15 You're welcome.

  • @dogman15 I've recognized the truck in "Toy Story 3", because when I seen when it said "YO" on the tailgate, I was like "That's the Pizza Planet Toyota pickup truck!"

  • Ahhh...Pixar...You are just full of references.

  • He did what in his cup?

  • @Racecarlock:

That part of "Cars" wasn't in this video. :|

  • @dogman15 Doesn't mean I can't make a joke reference.

  • @Racecarlock: Sorry...

  • 2 things. 1. How did they shift into first without slink pushing the clutch 2. How did they go 50 miles an hour in only 1st gear?

  • How about in Up! ?

  • @CenobiteVictim:

If you had read the previous comments and my replies to them, you'd see that I didn't include the appearance in Up because this video was uploaded in May of 2009. That's exactly when Up came out. How could I have gotten an image then? I didn't get the DVD until months later. FYI, the Pizza Planet truck appears in Up twice: once at an intersection, and later in the Fentons Creamery parking lot. It looks different in Up (different model).

  • @dogman15 thanx, I didn't mean Up! as in I am angry so i'm using an exclamation, I just meant "Up!", because the movie title has the exclamation point in it lol. I wonder if it will be in Toy Story 3 or that Bear one coming out in a couple years.

  • @CenobiteVictim: (second reply)

Pixar's 10th film is titled "Up" (properly in italics) there is no exclamation point ("!"). Early viewers have already confirmed that the Pizza Planet truck appears in Toy Story 3, and I am not sure how Pixar is going to slip the truck into The Bear and the Bow, a fairy tale film taking place in Scottland a long time ago.

  • @dogman15 oh yeah, sorry I just thought I remembered a poster with Up!, but it was just UP in caps.

  • yea i know about the truck the same in both toy storys

  • What about more relevant commentary about the code "A113" for all Pixar movies?

  • what did you want us to notice at the end?

  • That its filmed/created in a very similar way to the first one, the way the camera angles are set and how they get into pizza planet/airport.

  • I never noticed that. I also like how at the pizza planet restaurant, there's an announcement for a space flight and at the airport, there's a similar announcement.

  • 2:33 probably refers to Buzz's driving, because Mr. Potato head had pulled it into what I assumed was first gear, and that'd be incredibly inefficient to chase another car while only in first...

  • Or he could be referring to the erratic way Pizza Planet truck drivers drive their trucks. Maybe they're not all alike, but the driver in the first film was a pretty crazy driver.

  • Wow didnt catch that till now.

  • Didn't catch what 'till now?

  • where is it in ratatuie

    and is it in UP?

  • In Ratatouille, the truck appears on a bridge far in the background during the paper chase scene in Paris. You need a high-def version of the film to see it.

In Up, it appears twice (at least once). The first is when Carl's house first takes off in the city, you can see the truck parked on the side of the street near an intersection. It is somewhat styleized and it doesn't look like the other trucks from other films...

  • ...The other place it might appear is at the end of the film as the camera is panning out to reveal the Fenton's parking lot; it appears somewhere to screen left.

  • 1:36 - Zurg: Good throw, son! That's my boy! Go long, Buzzy!

  • A high quality video (both literally and physically) - thankyou for your effort in posting the video and adding *subtle* annotations!

  • It's not THAT high quality. The DVD was playing on an eMac, and the eMac was outputting video (VGA) and audio (1/8th inch headphones jack) to some box, which was connected to a second Macintosh which then turned what I chose to record into a video file which I later edited together on a third Macintosh. (See video description) This video is grainy or out of focus, or poor quality, or all of these. What is the difference between literal and physical? Also, I think the annotations make mine unique

  • Literally: The content, including annotations.

Physically: How it is to look at (in my opinion, in contrary to yours :P)

I mentioned your annotations because I liked how they were not intrusive on the screen, while being informative and not screaming 'Subscribe!' in every scene. It sounds like it was a lot of work! And I love the idea of having three separate Macs!

    Thanks again.

  • Sorry, the "video description" I was referring to was that of Part 1. In it, I said that these videos were made in my 12th grade video class, thanks to Mr. Cochran. Of course we have a ton of computers including a small (school-only) TV studio. With Macs only, it's easy to only use them.

I don't like videos that scream "SUBSCRIBE PLZ!" either. Personally, I could care less who subscribes to me, and as I've said before, I only accept friend requests from people I know in real life. (Cont'd...)

  • I see no useful benefit to "friending" on YouTube anyway. On other sites like deviantART, friending has its benefits.

  • In toy story 2, how did they put the truck in gear without using the clutch?

  • Either this particular truck has an automatic transmission, or Slinky somehow knew to press down on the clutch pedal (while also apparently simultaneously pressing down on the gas). Isn't over-analyzing these things fun?

  • lol "Use the wand of power" xD xD xD

  • I think Kennerfreak7 already reminded viewers of this video of that line, but thanks anyway.

  • is the toystory2 clip with the parking a reference to Airplane. - "There is no parking in the red-zone. The white zone is for loading and unloading only"

  • I cannot confirm, deny, nor verify that alleged reference. I do think that the Tri-County International Airport was visually inspired by the San Francisco International Airport (San Francisco is across the bay from Emeryville or Richmond, where Pixar is/used to be).

  • use the wand of power

  • That made me grin; thanks.

  • Awesome videos, you should make part 3 or something where Pixar characters come out in different films!!!

  • IF - big IF - I ever do another "Pizza Planet truck" video, it would be years later and include Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, The Bear and the Bow, Newt, and basically the next 10 films after WALL-E.

And do I even want to know what you meant by that suggestion? Anyway, thanks for the compliment. I couldn't have made these two videos without the help of my 12th grade video class.

  • Two things:

    1) Did anyone notice that the looks and body-style of this pickup actually match the 1979-1983 Toyota Pickups rather than the 1978-and-earlier models?

    2) Does anyone know what that music is during the Toy Story 2 scene?

  • I think I knew it was an early 80s model, and the rock music that plays during both Pizza Planet truck Toy Story scenes is something "generic" that Randy Newman wrote.

  • Aliens:OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH strangers form the outside.

    Buzz:oh no

    i love that part

  • the one from cars is really cute!

  • And his name is Todd, believe it or not.

  • Sorry about the 2 star rating I meant to pause the video.

  • That's okay. Ratings aren't that important to me anyway. People will automatically rate a video they like 5 stars, despite the following key:

    5 = Awesome!

    4 = Pretty cool

    3 = Worth watching

    2 = Nothing special

    1 = Poor

More often than not, videos I see will fit into the 3 or 4 category, rarely 5, sometimes 1 or 2. Because of this, I never rate videos by their stars.

  • Here's one thing I thought was funny. In the chase scene from Toy Story 2, the truck is a stick shift, but I think Slinky forgot to push in the clutch. :p

  • Really? I'll have to take a closer look at that. Wasn't it a stick shift in TS1, too?

  • Yes, but since it's more of a kid's film, nobody would really think of that.

  • if it was a stick shift then the car would stop the minute mr.patetoe head pulled it

  • u missed WALL.E and UP

  • The scene from WALL·E starts at 1:07, and Up wasn't in theaters, much less on DVD, when I made this video.

  • Did u c the pizza planet truck in UP?

  • I probably said this already, but yes, I did see it.

  • if u showd the sculpture of eve better u could have sed that one of the arms on it was the luxo lamp

  • i saw it in walle when i saw the movie but i didnt see it in ratatuie or cars its a classic so they do that like mickey mouse heads through out disney world that are hidden (i know i spelt ratatuie wrong) its been that long sice the first and second WOW!!!

  • I've seen high-quality screenshots of where it appears in Ratatouille, so I'm convinced.

  • its crazy the way they make the truck look exactly like a Toyota pick-up. right down to the steering wheel. i love those trucks!

  • I think I saw the truck in "Up". If I did, it was quite stylized, cartoon-like in a way that it looks like none of the trucks before it.

  • hey, I found it in up...its when he firsts sets off the balloons and flies over the city...the truck is parked.

  • Yeah... now find A-113.

  • A-113 in UP while hes sitting alone on bench the room is numbered A-113
