Man, trust me, if all 80% of americans think like you, USA should win at least 1 world cup but not when Soccer (football) is like the 4th sport in the country way behind basketball and american football... most americans just think soccer is very very boring :(
Well, I don't know what percentage is cheering for the U.S. but the we lead the world in World Cup Ticket sales. Way over 100,000 (maybe lots of Latinos).
Anyawy. Have a look at the football pitches MLS stadiums have around them. The youth programs. The media attention our MNT gets nowadays. Things are changing slowly. It will continue to catch on, don't worry.

I think it's probably only 20% US Supporters...rest are Mexican, Honduran, or others holding on to their heritage...but it speaks well for the future at least - hopefully their children see the USA's team progressing and remembering growing up seeing recent triumphs on tv and choose to support the USA...then we will finally have a legitimately sized fan base.
@alexlvnv1688 Yeah...i live in Costa Rica. You could hear a pin drop for hours after that header....The guy with the shit look was really just their trainer, the coaches got thrown out ten minutes earlier for arguing with FIFA officials. My Costa Rican friends wouldn't talk to me for weeks!
