  • @FuckUtube4Life2010 Jillian Michaels would mop the floor with both of them.

  • I'm sorry, I have no respect for Susan P. Her uneducated ideas on nutrition in the nineties placed a lot of people in metobolic syncdrome and eventually diabetes. Obesity was just a symptom of the stresses on the body the high glycemic low fat diet she touted caused. Gabby, is a wonderful actress that will endure the evil that is Stern and Powder. I love watching actors that aren't cookie cutters of jolie and pitt. Walk around and you'll see more Gabbies in real life than Angelinas.

  • @pegsbored have to agree with you when it comes to Susan's low fat diet. Total respect to who it works for, but I will never be one of those people. My body just works better on Primal/Paelo eating

  • what a beautiful, well reasoned and articulate response, which was also very respectful to Susan. You are dead on. I hope Susan gave it some thought.

  • wow....would hate to be in your skin, fat or skinny...enjoy your existence, chick.

  • susan powter vs jillian michaels vs richard simmons

    who wins?

  • @FuckUtube4Life2010 My bet: Jillian Michaels

  • Thank you for your honest, sincere video!

  • 2:18 - "Everyone should have the same rights" - Yes, in an ideal fairy tale world but guess what?! THIS IS REALITY!!!!

2:46 - "Hateful words" - Well obviously, how else will you fairy tale wanderers get the blatant POINT of REALITY.

4:15 - "Almost?" - It IS 199% discriminatory. And why do you think 'weight discrimination' is not illegal. ;-)

4:33 - "Her Talent" - Well, when she dies at 40, she wont be taking that Oscar with her.

Point: Get well or DIE. Simple. Live in reality Miss Taunia.

  • @Trixiaoyu The fact that our world is not perfect and that being overweight is unhealthy doesn't make it okay to discriminate. There will always be discrimination, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to fight it.

  • @tastic93 - "we shouldn't try to fight it." Good luck turning this world into your idea fairy tale land. ;-) I really need to wake you up into this world of darkness and doom. ;-)

  • @Trixiaoyu The fact that the world's "darkness and doom" exists doesn't justify discrimination.

  • @tastic93 - "darkness and doom" doesn't need to justify anything. That's why it's darkness and doom! :-/ Don't worry I'll get some iced cold water, pour it over your face to wake you up soon. ;-)

  • I just found you. I agree with you. You inspire me to lose weight, even though I can't afford to get surgery like you did. However, whatever that is that is behind you, a shower curtain, wall paper, it is ugly and you need to take it out or off, burn it, and replace it with something else. Still love ya, just not your back drop.

  • I agree

  • I agree these comments are hateful not helpful. I think some people fail to see the difference between passing potentially harmful judgement and constructive criticism.

  • fatties are not happy. they cry in the dark. and i am one and most folks think im happy.

  • totally agree Diva.

  • your so right nice video

  • I know you can be over weight and be healthy I was 354 lbs and healthy as a horse . But now I have had WLS and weight 223 now and not sure if it all from WLS but I was healthier before but do love my weight loss but just wanted to say I was very healthy being over weight I had a excellent heart and had no health problems at all ! This woman is big and beautiful and wish the world could see people for who they are and not what they look like why as a world do we judge people ! Christine

  • Exactly right, very well said. I love Susan, too. I know where she's coming from. Still, I think Susan is missing a vital part of the equation here that you have so adequately addressed. While there is no denying that obesity is directly associated with health problems, I wonder how healthy it is to be hateful? No really, even if you are physically healthy. Is it not, at least potentially, unhealthy to be a hateful person that's motivated by condescension and self righteousness?

  • I kinda feel Susan was just trying to well you know when you wana SHAKE someone and say WAKE UP to yourself if you think obese is healthy I know as someone who is over weight how hard it is to deal with my extra back pain and Athsma to mentiona few, If your a bubbly person maybe you can still be happy but not healthy if you are obese, having said that I'm sure Gabby knows this but sometimes we hide behind our fat because we want to be in denial. sometimes being harsh gives us the wakeup call

  • Kudos, to you, Diva. You are so RIGHT-ON in this response. This let's-bash-the-hell-outta-Gabourey crap is pissing me off to NO END. It's so discriminatory. They want to fault this young woman (and she is a woman...NOT a 19yr. old) for daring to have self-esteem at a large size. How do they know whether she's already currently active in a weight loss regimen? What is she supposed to do -- go hide herself away until she reaches their ideal of what her weight should be? It's friggin' insane!

  • Very well said! I honestly think Susan will admire you for making this video. And honestly, though Stern's comments were hateful, they certainly did do something good - they encouraged a discussion and communication about being "fat" in America (and in Hollywood), and what this says about "us" as a whole.

  • Taunia as a weight loss patient myself and much love for you I must disagree. Out of fear of being Gabby I flew to Mexico for surgery. We may not like predjudices against fat, woman, or black, etc. but denying it does not make it go away, It exists. Gabby is Super Morbidly Obese & critisim just comes with it in America. Howard Stern is an Idiot I agree, but I didnt watch the movie because looking at Gabby disgusts me. I feel deep sorrow for her and every other person that thinks fat is "OK".

  • Very well said Diva, I think susan went wrong with the title of her video, as well as any mention of Howard. It's sad really because I agree with her as far as the health issues, however in the end what stands out is the hate.

  • I agreed with Susan UNTIL I listened to this- you have a very excellent point. The hate is horrible and I wish the best to that talented actress. Susan is human, and maybe approached it wrong. YOu swayed my outlook and I"m a HUGE susan powter fan

  • Now thats how you make a video, educated, informed and real ! The video you responded to, was offensive not well thought out and clearly judgemental! And howards comments- urghh what a grossly hateful man ! Thank you for maintaining the keeping it real attitude and disagreeing ! good for you xx

  • I haven't seen it yet but if it comes out of Stern's mouth it is bound to be b*shit. His whole career is to be a shockjock. Powter is trying to ride his coattails I guess.

BTW: I was over 300 for years and thought skinny ppl had it so easy. Now that I am no longer overweight, I see that no one is immune to hateful words.

  • I watched the original video & it made me sick! I can't believe Stern & this Susan made such comments, but that is what hate will do. I was very impressed with the actresses performance, she was spectacular! Your response to this video is dead on! Hate doesn't help! Thanks for making this response divataunia! We love you!

  • Rock on! I believe in everyones freedom to do what is their path and their rights. my new favorite phrase that I was told to by my gastric bypass case manager is screw anyone who doesnt agree with it its my body, my health , and my life.

  • OMG Taunia, once again you are on the money with this one. It was quite upsetting, and I also was very shocked by Susan's actions in this. On my personal experience, I was extremely happy & very confident with myself when I was a big girl, now being 13 months post-op not having such a great emotional transition. Most of all, my heart goes out to others who are judged on weight. I know their pain and will always stand by & up for them.

  • Baby....I am so honored to be your fiance'...you have more class and dignity in the tip of your little finger than she has in her whole body....never change...I am so very proud of you and the inspiration you give to others...I love you!!!!

  • I agree with you, Taunia.

I think it's one thing to talk about health problems and so on and do it in a constructive way, but to do it in a way that belittles a person is crass and trashy. It doesn't surprise me that something like that came from Howard Stern and quite frankly, it doesn't surprise me it came from Susan Powter. I never liked the woman because she's a loud mouth and annoying... I know you like her, but I don't :-)

  • Amen sister!

  • there should be more people in the world who think like you!

  • well said!! very professional... bravo!!

  • I totally agree with you. Thanks for posting

  • I think we are missing an important point in all of this: Would the same attention (regarding weight) been given if the person in question was a male? I think not. So here we are again - women being set up for discrimination!!! And we wonder why young girls (and grown women) have body image issues. You get picked on if your 20 lbs over weight and you get picked on if you are over 100 lbs of weight. Sad.

  • Susan just marking any comment against her vile video as spam I am guessing she will mark this spam as well.

  • I agree with you.

  • i love gabby but as a obese person i agree what Susan said is true being obese effects my life and life would be easier in so many ways i understand that this is just how i feel and not how all over weight people feel.

i do also agree with you taunia it might have been a little harsh of Susan. i will say i don't know what Howard said so i can only comment on what i heard on Susan vlog .

  • Amen to that sister! I saw that video... I was SHOCKED!!!

  • Well worded and thought out response. :)

  • part 2.. out about this.. & Tonya I hope others view your video.. As I've always said..We cannot control the evil tongues of others; but a good life enables us to disregard them...& I hope Gabourey Sidibe can brush this off as another asshole from the street on a radio show just farted his way through this topic.. As he stated about another asshole coming in off the crub for audition...

  • Oh I heard the take of Howard Stern's recording regarding Gabourey Sidibe.. Sad sad sad!! I wonder who gave anyone the god given right to discriminate another human being in the world.. Yes I know it goes on a daily basis but hello.. There's bigger things to worry about than someones appearance.. I know it's regarding health & weight..But argghh it just angers me..It's it God's right to pass judgement upon his people, not his people to pass judgement onto others..I'm glad people are speaking

  • Susan is an extremist, that is just dangerous and to me desperate.

Missing the mark is the kindest thing you could have said, I had a few harsher words for her on her channel.

  • I couldn't agree more!!!!! i think that it is a way for Susan and howard to get face time!!! Why else would they be talking about this actress like this. People do things like this for one reason self gain! They are both trying to sell a product. Howard the radio show and Susan her lifestyle exchange program. It is sad that she is promoting hatred and she herself was fat at one point!! Negativity is just going to promote negativity!!!! I pray she sees the error of her ways! Howard=hopeless!

  • amen!!!!!!! diva you've nailed it.....hate kills!!! as i said before, someone could reach out in a positive way to help her, NOT bash her....also, about people that disagree with WLS, stop judging what we have decided to do for our health...

about stern's comments, shame on him...i lived supermorbidly obese for 15 yrs, my parents for 30+ yrs...thank God for WLS(sorry diva, lol) it SAVED MY LIFE!!!xxoo~nicole

  • Hate never helps...on that I can definitely agree!

  • @allisonpacino - Soooo... Gabby is a fat diseased woman then? Ouch.

  • this was an excellent and thoughtful response. kudos

  • You hit the nail on the head with this on!!!

  • you are so right, hate does not promote health and wellness... my own doctor is a hater, and conveys that to me every chance she gets...it just makes it worse, her words to me ring thru my brain regularly...just makes me want to give up and never ever ask for help again!

  • howard stern is a scum bag hes a worthless piece of crap!!!!! imho

  • Very eloquent and appropriate response. I agree with you 100%!!

  • I agree with you. My friends are overweight and are happy the way they are. As for them being healthy i really dont know if they are because they are scared of going to doctors. But i know the only thing that they are not happy is me being skinnier. I had one friend who gave me a box of ring dings. I didnt eat them.

  • first comment !!!can't even watch the video yet!!!
