@loner1878 According to the NAF's Violence and Disruption statistics, it also lists cases of pro-life picketing since 1977, which is 148,303. Compared to that number, if pro-lifers were as violent as they are played up to be, I would think there would be way more than 8 murders, 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 175 arsons, and 1,429 acts of vandalism (you got the number of vandalism cases wrong).

Very easy to say if you're not the one they're targeting. Four years ago, a clinic I used to escort at was targeted by a pro life fanantic who planned to set off a pipe bomb and then shoot everyone inside. By sheer luck he was arrested before he could carry out his plan, he had both a firearm and the pipe bomb.

But, just as you said, he's a fanatic, and stereotyping all pro-lifers as violent fanatics based on just a mere few violent people is very closed minded, for a vast majority of pro-lifers are peaceful. In fact, labeling all pro-lifers as violent discourages women from seeking the services they can provide, such as baby bottles, clothes, food, and even a place to live; things pro-choicers won't provide.

Maybe not all pro lifers can be called fanatics, but I very well remember the reaction to the murder of Dr Tiller. "Pro life" boards literally lit up with cheers and praise for his murderer. Labeling doctors as murderers gives fanatics their reasons to pick up a gun and kill. I do think of many pro life organizations as enablers. We don't need to label your side, your fake clinics where you lie to women to scare them away from an informed decision tend to do that themselves.

@loner1878 ...which makes me question if pro-choicers are really pro-"choice", for if they were, they wouldn't be condemning those services pro-lifers can provide as an alternative to abortion, which makes abortion seem like the "best" or the only option. I've talked to many women who were tricked into stepping into those fake clinics. One even reported the people there locked the door and wouldn't let her leave while they told her she was a killer and kept handing her obviously secondhand baby supplies.

You are being intentionally deceitful (no suprise) if you are seriously claiming all pro lifers provide those things. Too many I see outside clinics could clearly care less once the baby is out.

Nice try, but fail. We do not oppose helping pregnant women in need, but doing it through harrassment, misinformation and lies is what we oppose. We oppose women not being told of all their options honeslty and being pushed to one. Counselors at our clinics do not push women to get abortions.

PP saves lives with STD testing, cancer screenings - when breast cancer is the #2 killer of women in America, and don't forget that a woman is more than 4 times as likely to die in labor than from an abortion.

Does Planned Parenthood provide services that can cure STD symptoms and breast cancer, or can they only identify the symptoms? That is you interesting you mentioned breast cancer. Google abortionbreastcancer (and go to the website with that name) . I’m not 100% convinced yet that abortion can cause it (can’t be too sure in controversial cases like this), but I like to keep an open mind.

Early detection greatly increases the rate of success at treating cancer. Planned Parenthood provides the screenings that many can't afford otherwise, thereby reducing cancer-related deaths.

@dimefeet It's interesting you mention PP, abortion, and breast cancer. I'm not convinced of it yet fully, but Google abortionbreastcancer, and go to the website of that title. All I can say is, IF abortion can cause breast cancer, then it can, and there's no escaping that fact. And the longer it goes unacknowledged by pro-choicers, the bigger the lawsuits will be. Heck, pro-lifers may not even need to shut down PP. If it's found PP knew about it all along, they may get sewed out of existence.

@dimefeet Woman dying in childbirth is actually quite rare. Giving birth is a natural process, so woman's bodies are made to do it. But, the more it is said that child birth kills women, or is hard on her body, or she is more likely to survive an abortion, the more women will fear childbirth, and will be more willing to get an abortion; even though the gloom and doom of childbirth is mostly hype.

And BTW, woman can get tested for breast cancer and STD's at hospitals. PP isn't the only place.
