Please read in context. The ancient Hebrews were given a civil code that contained penalties for crimes, as any society has. There were capital crimes then that don't make sense to us now but were for those people at that time. Cursing God was a capital offense punishable by death. If you continue to read that passage there was a clear distinction then as today between capital punishment administered by the authorities after hearing two or three witnesses and homicide.

@ResTrNbSC Well, no! Jesus of Matthew 5:17-19 says the whole of the law. Paul does away with the laws. You have to remember that some of the Jewish Christians where not happy with what Paul was teaching. Some allowances were made for the gentiles but not for Jewish Christians. Even so the Jerusalem Council required that even the gentiles be subject to some dietary laws. Acts 15:19-21 NKJV. However Paul omits this fact when he speaks to the Galations Galatians 2:1,2,6-7,9-10 NKJV

Tell me why the book of Leviticus tells us to wash our hands under "running" water and not a bowl of water like they used to, that caused the massive spread of diseases? If the Bible was written by man without God telling them....just how did they without a microscope know about micro organisms? How did they know to quarantine people?

Seeing people who wash their hands in fetid water getting sick or being around sick people and then getting sick is something a child could think of on their own. What you're proposing as divine revelation would be more easily explained by common sense. @shadapple How do you differentiate between expressions and truth? Circle of the Earth is an expression, but invisible bits of creation is microbiology? You have to do some pretty hard cherry picking to come up with those answers. The fact of the matter is that you don't care about truth, you have your answer and you will force anything to fit to it. If you were to drop your preconceptions the bible was true for a moment, and re-read it you wouldn't come up with the same conclusions.

Leviticus 11:13-23 talks about flying insects walking on all fours (instead of 6) and bats being birds 14:2 tells you how to cure leprosy with bird blood. Deuteronomy 14:7 says hares chew cud. Please read in context. The ancient Hebrews were given a civil code that contained penalties for crimes, as any society has. There were capital crimes then that don't make sense to us now but were for those people at that time. Cursing God was a capital offense punishable by death. If you continue to read that passage there was a clear distinction then as today between capital punishment administered by the authorities after hearing two or three witnesses and homicide.

You have to remember that some of the Jewish Christians where not happy with what Paul was teaching. Some allowances were made for the gentiles but not for Jewish Christians. Even so the Jerusalem Council required that even the gentiles be subject to some dietary laws. Acts 15:19-21 NKJV. However Paul omits this fact when he speaks to the Galations Galatians 2:1,2,6-7,9-10 NKJV

Seeing people who wash their hands in fetid water getting sick or being around sick people and then getting sick is something a child could think of on their own. What you're proposing as divine revelation would be more easily explained by common sense. Amos 9 seems to deal with killing people and god in it is showing that they can't hide anywhere. It isn't saying they went to the bottom of the sea anymore than they actually climbed up to heaven.

You have to do some pretty hard cherry picking to come up with those answers. The fact of the matter is that you don't care about truth, you have your answer and you will force anything to fit to it. If you were to drop your preconceptions the bible was true for a moment, and re-read it you wouldn't come up with the same conclusions.

Leviticus 11:13-23 talks about flying insects walking on all fours (instead of 6) and bats being birds 14:2 tells you how to cure leprosy with bird blood. Deuteronomy 14:7 says hares chew cud. Animals (mammals and the some bird species I've read about at least) tend to not breed with closely related members, they will, but it isn't their first choice, maybe just like Noah's group, right? God was showing the Israelites the punishment for blasphemy was death by stoning.Blasphemy was a sin punishable by death.The very next verse speaks of killing someone out of anger which Is how Cain killed Abel.The Lord was teaching his people that sin can't be tolerated by God.God knew If his people did'nt remove all sin from themselves that ultimately sin or God himself would destroy them.God wasn't trying to make this difficult but he knew that all sin would ultimately infiltrate his people..

this video is a ridiculous example of how the bible has ever been refuted. if you read it even in english you would know that these are two different paragraphs meaning they are talking about two different things and when talking about killing and murder(in hebrew) they are two completely different words and meanings. read the whole chapter in context and you might understand that. if someone commits a crime punishable by death, putting him to death isnt murder.

In the first verse quoted, the word 'kill' is used in the sense of 'executtion,'-- in the second verse, 'kill' is used in the sense of 'murder,' so there is no real contradiction.

The angel appears to Mary in the sixith month (June). She concevies. Verse 36, The angel tells her that her cousin Elizabeth (I will refer to as Liz) is 6 months pregnant.
Verse 40; Mary goes to visit Liz.
Verse 56: Mary remains w/Liz for 3 months (Sept)
Verse 57: ''Now Liz's full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son."

I had heard it was like April 6 or around then, but close enough! We know the only reason Christmas is celebrated on Dec. 25 is due to rituals carried over from Egyptian and other cultures. I believe it was in the year 4 BC that he was born.

Yeah, so why do Christians celebrate "Christmas" in December? Why does the Catholic Church insist on sticking to latin? Why does St. Nicholas look like Oden? Why do we celebrate "Easter" through the personification of a rabbit bearing eggs? Why do we call it Christianity, but if anybody else were to pray to corpse on a stick & then symbolicly drink his blood & eat his flesh, we would call it a cult?

But it is possible, that people (including Christians) do not read the Bible for themselves, but rather go off of what they hear others say. Most of the things that people think and believe about Christianity are false....and it is out of pure ignorance (lack of knowledge). They just do not research it for themselves. There is a difference between reading a scripture or studying ALL scripture on a subject. GB.

Historians and scholars have been able to determine pretty exactly the correct date. The Dec. 25 date is based on Egyptian and other traditions, and really the date is not that relevant. It's been manipulated along with much else about the Bible and Jesus' life too. The purpose of which is to control the masses. And I say this as a firmly believing Christian who knows THE REST OF THE STORY, which so few Xtians actually bother to find out!

Well...duhh. That is not a contradiction, but for someone that is not trying to learn God's ways for good, will be horribly mistaken. The verse before, where it says they shall be stoned FOR BLASPHEMING, and the next verse speaks of KILLING BY YOUR OWN WILL AND NOT GOD'S.
Ask yourself, if you dad says "Do not eat this pie, and writes the note on the fridge, but a couple of days later, your dad sees that you are hungry, and he says you may eat the pie". Do not kill of you own will.

...what are you talkin about? God had those laws written and told to His prophets, mainly Moses, so He himself would not have to say STONE HIM. Umm...and those prophets, also called seers before, were thought to be crazy, like, really different and wierd to the other people that were untrained in word and spirit. Of course, someone hearing Jesus say, you must drink my blood and eat my flesh to live would think He is crazy, but it is one of the prices to pay for eternal life.

You honestly beleive that Christ wants you to eat his flesh & dirnk his blood? You hold the words of the Bible so dear that you take it THAT litterally and see no connection between ancient pagan rituals and holy communion? Seriously? I bet you DO have a Christmas Tree in your house. In fact, I'm willing to go further & suggest you celebrate his birthday on 25 Dec, and you celebrate easter by painting eggs.

HAHAHA...dude, see what i mean. SPIRITUAL SPEAKING. Look at what i wrote, i was not being literal. His blood represents life, and our sins (as christians) are cleansed through the blood of the Lamb...Jesus, and his body is the bread of life. Of course i WOULD NOT EAT FLESH AND BLOOD. I do not worship Jesus as a christmas tree also... and i definantly know the story of easter eggs, so i dont paint them or have anything to do with them.

This is a very good example of spiritual debate. Thank you for posting. Since I'm already commenting on this video, perhaps I should add one more thing.
I am a Christian and I DO NOT BELIEVE in Capital Punishment. Also, I do believe the Bible is accurate and the Lord's words might sound contradictory to US, but we are mere humans. God is just, loving, and good. He doesn't change, ever. We don't nor can we understand everything. That's his job.

Under your logic, I can go out & kill like 40 people, rape a goat, set a church on fire, swallow a laxitive & poop all over St. Peter's grave & I'll be okay because the Bible was just too complex for my tiny little human mind to comprehend.

It was written so man cannot understand it. But when we put away man and his (our) fleshy thoughts and lusts, Christ enters and we gain understanding, knowledge and heavenly wisdom from Him. Then we can understand. Just personal message me, i really dont check comment replies...thanks

As Christians, we need to be well versed in the bible, with heavenly wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God, if you have a question, ask me, and (God Willing) i can answer it on personal message. But if i cant answer it, then i have others on youtube that God can answer through, because i think they are well versed. Um...so God bless you.
