tää suomenkielinen on vaan niin hyvä! I LOVE THIS <3 I've watched all the other versions of this, but i just love this. Finnish can do the dubbing, really!
I come from Finland and usually I get very ashamed because of the Finnish versions of Disney, or any cartoon songs. The rhythm may be okay, but the lyrics are somewhat weird. Like the Finnish version of "I'll make a man of you" in Mulan. This surprised me. It actually sounds kind of good! Yeah!
This is my third placer behind English and Hebrew. This guy doesn't quite have the bite of Joel, and he's a little off in places, but hey, it's still awesome~ Much better than some of the other languages.
Wow, this dude is pretty good at singing. He doesn't quite have the rough street-mutt voice that'd fit Dodger's character, but I like his voice a lot anyway. ;D
Disneyhän piilottelee yleensä elokuviinsa aina jotain pieniä "mainoksia" toisista elokuvistaan. :D Mm. Nemoa etsimässä siellä hammaslääkärin huoneessa on leluarkku, jossa on Buzz Lightyear.
Wow this comes in second for me right after English. I'm American and I'm used to the English version so of course it would be my fave. Plus, I like the power in Joel's voice but this was fantastic. I should listen to more Finnish music.
Tää on kyllä hyvä versio. Musta sekä alkuperänen että suomidubbi on hyviä, eri tavoilla vaan. Enkuks tässä on ehkä enemmän "asiaa", suomeks taas enemmän sellasta sanoilla leikkimistä, jos tajuatte mitä meinaan...
Out of ALL the versions I've listened to of this song (English, Swedish, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Japanese, etc etc), this has to be the best one. In close second is English and then Swedish. The rest are just .. horrific ... Especially the speaking and howling parts before and during the song. As usual, Finland comes out on top when it comes to music.

what Ó.ó....and I just wanna say that I didnt write these comments after all....someone login to my account...and wrote some stupid comments..and now I look like an idiot in this page :´(
CharlieFala said that even though it's pronounced morsiammen (with double m), it's written morsiamen. Same with sydän (heart) : sydämen. What a åity that there're a few expections in the rule "Finnish is written the way it's pronounced" D:
And mordian, you don't look like an idiot.. :D I liked thos messages alot x) Except they were total Greek to me XDD
Finnish is indeed a hard language. It's pronounced quite similiar to japanese though, so it can be compared to that ^^ And the R thing, I think I know what you mean. The R's are pronounced like that in most words. :D *wow, I suck at explainin' things* It's even more hard since I speak both swedish and Finnish x'D
Wow, this was great! I really liked it! It's almost as great as the english version .. Does Finnish has those rolling r's normally? Like in the word surra? I just mean that that i've heard in other finnish songs that the r is pronounced like in German and Danish .. Or maybe im wrong?
Bella, I don't know about that, that Finnish r's sounds like German or Danish. But I don't maybe think and hear it that way as you maybe hear, 'cause I'm finn, so.. ^^ Finnish is hard language to foreign people 'cause it's so different than other languages and I think that maybe you kinda heard it different way than we do. We have lots of words with double r's in there.
Ok, maybe it sound littlebit like german and danish, but I still think, that we have our own style to express finnish words. U know what I mean? =D If that was what u ment. i think finnish sounds littlebit like icelandic, but just little. That's my opinion ^^ By the way I liked this. My favourites are this and german version *smile*
I don't think it sounds like Danish and German, I just asked about if the r's are pronounced like in those languages .. The r's in this song are rolling r's like in Italian, Swedish etc. But I just mean that usually the r's in Finnish are pronounced like in German, Danish etc. A more "throaty" r.
Am I right or?? If I am right, why are the r's pronounced differently in some songs? Is it because of the different dialects? And I don't think that Finnish sounds like German, Danish or Icelandic. I don't think I can compare this language with other languages I know. Finnish sounds different
Okay, I understood it wrongly then, sry. Well, I don't know :D I don't see any difference. Maybe some finnish singers stresses r's more than others? :DD
A more "throaty" r? Yea, maybe. U know, I don't listen what I say as you do, I think it's the same, that.. Where are you from? Well.. it doesnt matter, I listen ther languages differently than finnish, If you get my point.. I can't explain it very well, erm ^^''
In Germany "r" is pronouced way differently!!! I'm finn and i study Germany. The "r" sound is said and pronouced differently, but i'm too stupid to explain it here:P I have a friend who has finnish mom and german father, she speaks both languages, but she can't pronouce the "r" sound like in Finnish, because she's used to speak Germany.
This doesn't directly belong here, but i think i should post it still. I have a speech defect with "r", and someones says that my "r" sounds like French "r". But I think it's okay.
But then, about the video: It's AWESOME! I love Filuri! <3
(I'm finn too, but I don't know why I write this english. :D)
tää suomenkielinen on vaan niin hyvä! I LOVE THIS <3 I've watched all the other versions of this, but i just love this. Finnish can do the dubbing, really!

Äitini mielestä Kisu Jernströmillä on "ontto" ääni, mutta kyllä se tässä aivan mahtavalta kuulostaa.
Omituista kyllä, pidän tästä enemmän kuin alkuperäisestä. Tämä on jotenkin... energisempi ja voimakkaampi.
In English: my mom thinks Kisu Jernström (the singer of this) has "a hollow" voice, but I think he sounds awesome here.
It's sort of weird that I like this version more than the original. This is kind of... livelier and stronger.

and finnish is a very hard language for foreigners to learn :D in english, a single word is only in two forms (single and plural)... well, finnish words are in 30 completely different kind of forms... but finnish pronounciation is very easy to learn, except the "r"-thingie...

It's ok, I replied to Otustelija :)

Taiyorabu 4 years ago
Wow, this was great! I really liked it! It's almost as great as the english version .. Does Finnish has those rolling r's normally? Like in the word surra? I just mean that that i've heard in other finnish songs that the r is pronounced like in German and Danish .. Or maybe im wrong?
BellaPigen90 4 years ago 3
Bella, I don't know about that, that Finnish r's sounds like German or Danish. But I don't maybe think and hear it that way as you maybe hear, 'cause I'm finn, so.. ^^ Finnish is hard language to foreign people 'cause it's so different than other languages and I think that maybe you kinda heard it different way than we do. We have lots of words with double r's in there.
kinneyslave 4 years ago
Ok, maybe it sound littlebit like german and danish, but I still think, that we have our own style to express finnish words. U know what I mean? =D If that was what u ment. i think finnish sounds littlebit like icelandic, but just little. That's my opinion ^^ By the way I liked this. My favourites are this and german version *smile*
kinneyslave 4 years ago
I don't think it sounds like Danish and German, I just asked about if the r's are pronounced like in those languages .. The r's in this song are rolling r's like in Italian, Swedish etc. But I just mean that usually the r's in Finnish are pronounced like in German, Danish etc. A more "throaty" r.
BellaPigen90 4 years ago
Am I right or?? If I am right, why are the r's pronounced differently in some songs? Is it because of the different dialects? And I don't think that Finnish sounds like German, Danish or Icelandic. I don't think I can compare this language with other languages I know. Finnish sounds different
BellaPigen90 4 years ago
Okay, I understood it wrongly then, sry. Well, I don't know :D I don't see any difference. Maybe some finnish singers stresses r's more than others? :DD
kinneyslave 4 years ago
A more "throaty" r? Yea, maybe. U know, I don't listen what I say as you do, I think it's the same, that.. Where are you from? Well.. it doesnt matter, I listen ther languages differently than finnish, If you get my point.. I can't explain it very well, erm ^^''
kinneyslave 4 years ago
Hehe okay .. :P Moi, mitäs sinä? haha .. :P Im learning some finnish sentences, hehe .. :P Im from Denmark :)

In Germany "r" is pronouced way differently!!! I'm finn and i study Germany. The "r" sound is said and pronouced differently, but i'm too stupid to explain it here:P I have a friend who has finnish mom and german father, she speaks both languages, but she can't pronouce the "r" sound like in Finnish, because she's used to speak Germany.
vallufi 4 years ago
This doesn't directly belong here, but i think i should post it still. I have a speech defect with "r", and someones says that my "r" sounds like French "r". But I think it's okay.
But then, about the video: It's AWESOME! I love Filuri! <3
(I'm finn too, but I don't know why I write this english. :D)
Purrfect55 3 years ago 3
finniish r isn't like "throaty"... finnish r is "pronounced" on the top of the tongue.. :D "i can't explain things"... but i'm finnish :D
Otustelija 4 years ago
Here to give you a direct answer: the Finnish R is always rolled. No throat-Rs.
