I own a 76 Fleetwood as well, just drove 100 miles today with it. I love it. That's a standard size car, would like to see more of it on the streets. The answer to your question is simple: european cars are a cool thing in the USA, american cars are the same way cool in Europe. We see all the times european and japanese cars on our streets, but only seldom american made cars. Cadillac was always a leader in technical innovations and in luxury comfort. I and some of my friends like them a lot...
What is it with Europeans and huge old American land yachts anyway? I'd take a 7-series any day over one of these gas-guzzling behemoths. I learned to parallel park in a '76 Fleetwood that was enough Caddy for me for one lifetime.
nice caddy 425 motor the last of the big blocks in american history ! you leave your hood open just like my dad does everytime he gets home he pops it to let the heat out he says people laugh... but every car he ever had lasted for 15 to 20 years!!! his theory is the heat needs to be let out saves the hoses belts wiring and cools the motor quicker... he says look at the real old cars had louvers in the hood and fenders to intake air and let the heat out of the engine bay !!!
Damn thats is one BEAUTIFUL car!

Yes I know, I have opened it. It didn't matter on this private closed up parking area...
Don't worry it's closed again.
