he was a fascist, he believed criminal behaviour, drug-addiction and homosexuality were diseases that could be cured. typical fascist perspective to rule out choice and view people with problems or different lifestyle choices as inferior
That part about the clam reminds me of Family Guy and their town being founded by a clam, then in a later episode they say it was a myth and that Peter's ancestor founded the town.
I think Dianetics was a simple enough to understand logical extension of then-popular Freudian ideas. Ultimately baseless, but somewhat likely to make you feel better (if you can afford it). Too bad it happened to be created by just another charismatic, would-be tyrant with denial problems (no second wife, indeed).
That part about wanting to have a country, and his scouting trip to Rhodesia, are sounding very much like Jim Jones ! Yikes!
Glad the makers of this doc were able to get these first-person accounts of LRH, and show us how many turned against him. I believe most of them are gone or dying off by now (it's truly sad to think about the Ackerman not there any more if you were a kid monster fan of a certain age). Certainly most will be gone in ten or twenty more years. Then it will be interesting to see if LRH's version of himself as an explorer/treasure hunter/war hero will survive or if the facts will win out.
lol a clam being itched by a peice of sand..in the primordial soup?!LOL! it is interesting..that the creatures he drew looked like aliens n reptilians..boy he is a con artist

My God, its sad my freedom of speech costs me enduring manipulators of this caliber and the fools they inspire.

These people are batshit. They're using the language of Scientology as if it were real. As if doing auditing actually meant something...
