  • Thank god we got it

  • Really tho if we have this shit why are parents children, and children's parents getting killed in that shit hole over in the east??

  • Metal Storm is a fucking boss ass NES game

  • brisbane represent!!

  • You need batteries and balls to fire this gun.

  • Pause the Vid at 0:17 .....RC Drone from Frontlines Fuel of war?

  • electronic guns...4000 40mm grenades per second

    electronic silos...10 ICBMs per second

then again electronic guns....vulnerable to EMP.

  • @Varencilator but who the hell needs to hit a single spot with like 1000 grenades? the 1st 50 or so will destroy the target then the other 950 will just be wasted

  • @TheJimcat

why would it be a single target? all u need to do is be able to point the barrel of the guns fast enough at your targets. not to mention the inaccuracy of several thousand grenades shooting out in less than a second. this would probably be used from very far range to guarantee a hit on the target. but im not suggesting that we actually use thousands....10 would probably be enough for any target.

  • @Varencilator yeh but ive seen how accurate these things can be ive seen a single truck be bomarded with like 200 rounds but i see what your saying about how spreads

  • @Varencilator Interestingly enough, once a weapon is capable of firing past a certain ROF; 2000+ rpm I think, its accuracy actually increases. A larger percentage of bullets fired from a m134 will hit their target than an m240.

    M134 vs M240 Comparison - watch?v=Qf9bCebm4aE

  • @SBwingman

well these are metal storm guns and fire differently, might not be the same.

  • lol the thing with the planes is cool......

  • Love how the narrator is talking enthusiastically about how ruthlessly lethal this weapon is ;) Weapons generally make me drool, with their elegance and simplicity, form follows function. I can see why people collect swords, for example. But this.... This is just morbid? Its like.. too much?

  • So if it uses electronics to fire, what voltage makes it fire? Hooking it up to a car battery would be bad yea?

  • supershitty mitraljez

  • the have to probe it whit their own employeees, this guys work is madness!

  • 1 good shot kills a human, why you need 3 or 1.000.000 ? there is no sense at all, tell me where you need this weapon system ?

  • @Alecks1990

CIWS - Close In Weapon System to protect even vehicles against incoming rounds.

  • @Alecks1990 they could eventually adapt the firing system into assault rifles, which would be way more effective than conventional burst firing.

  • love to get one as a side arm

  • i would buy one of these for home defence use if they sell to civilians

  • SKYNET?!

  • the future is killing "more" people as "quick" as posible..god bless america!

  • @killmeiseedeadpeople dont think god likes this... god bless the murdering usa... hail furer Obama

  • @killmeiseedeadpeople I thought Metal Storm was Australian.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrReaper921 It is, its an Australian invention.

  • @killmeiseedeadpeople Its an Australian invention.

  • I can't wait till this crap is no longer celebrated

  • AUSTRALIAN MADE :D

  • Metal storm have brought the musket into the digital age

  • owwww man Chuck Norris is going to be fucking pissed when he finds out that you took his bb guns....

  • itd be hell to reload tho...

  • @fkhan96 actually... the reload would be faster than thought.... they look like those stapler metal things.... u just stick them in...doesnt take long

  • Chuck Norris called, he wants his toy gun back

  • skynet owns them

  • What if they use a emp

  • these will for sure destroy the world, if there is going to be a world war again, i would want it to be swords and bows, true skill, not some crap computer.

  • Ausy engineering wins!!

  • 'MURICA! FUCK YEAH!

  • the next best gun for call of duty

ps a few of these can kill galactis

  • mounting like 12 of those things to an airplane? Yeah, because the enemy needs like 60,000 or more 40mm grenades raining down on them instead of one 500 pound bomb. It's like, fucking stupid.

  • war marketing much?

  • i always wanted to join the army, but this just pretty much means certain death

  • the saddest part of this video is the fact that weapons manufacturers make them for profit and not solely for homeland security. Selling this kind of advanced weapon to the 'enemy' is nothing short of advancing warfare purely for money

Imagine how peacefult the world would be if the people that devised the ultimate weapons didn't sell them to countrys we could go to war with. If I have an apache chopper and my ememy has a howitzer

weapons designers = bringers of death

    weapon sellers = scumbagz

  • Future battlefields?! There musn't BE a future battlefield.

  • China tried to bribe the creator of Metal Storm, and get him to move from Australia to China and work for them instead.

    He refused. Fucking A+.

  • This is what will kill us in the post apocalyps, unmanned turrets in the fucking dessert.

  • lol this takes the sentry gun from cod to a whole new level but what about if they emp anyone using these weapons? wont it completely disable it?? : /

  • @migratorycocanut If it has an unshielded electronic fuse it will probably ignite all of the rounds simultaneously. Electromagnetism of any kind creates a current with such a high spike like an EMP would deliver it's obvious the outcome. Things would go boom! Think Tesla Coil

  • @JAG03064 lol nvm mind read up on it and they do shield it from emp and other such things xD

  • cmon russia attack us... i dare you XD

  • @hotpocketpoison i hope your australian. these arent american.

  • @HavoKx16 but we will undoubtably be using them when they are ready

  • Sir! The Russian army is advancing with their full force!

    Answer: 5 Metal Storm turrets.

  • @eragon4884 what about when the russian or n korean armies have this technology?? that's one war whose draft i'll be dodging..

  • What the hell are you fighting that you would need 4000 40mm grenades per second fired? Godzilla?

  • @c0ld4rmy Giant asteroids the size of Mt. Everest is one reason

  • @c0ld4rmy The tripods from war of the worlds....

  • @c0ld4rmy well say for instance the chinese decide to mobilze 500 000 troops onto some border region for whatever reason and all the gear and weapons that go with 500 000 troops. I would want metal storm to deal with 500 000 chinese troops or 500 000 anythings for that matter. If someone said you have to fight 500 000 of these and u can pick one gun with as much ammo as u need I'd say being me a metal storm grande grenade launcher.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 The speed its fires is handy but if you are going to fire it at that speed you are going to have a huge logistic problem, not to mention how hard it would be to reload the barrels and when they get hot they will set the powder off on its own. the ammo is probably going to be much more time and cost consuming then regular weapons.

  • @1ohtaf1 Everything you've said just sounds wrong. You are really stuck in the 1920's to be thinking like that. And you obviuously havent seen the live fire videos of the 40mm grenade launcher box where the operators are able to change out the barrle/mag in a matter of seconds bare handed without getting burned. The propellant is ignitied electronically not by heat this isnt civil war black powder kid. People smarter than you have thought of these problems and thats why they arent a problem.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 You failed to explain how i was wrong and what it had to do with the 20's, as it works out they used smokeless powder in the 20s so i got no idea what you are talking about. Furthermore. Reloading this weapon will be a bigger problem because: unless the operator is pouring powder from the muzzle like in the early to mid 19th century, the only other way is to swap out the barrel or have a sleeve which is removable, this causes another problem,

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 If the rounds are stacked on top of each other, a technique that was around in the 17th, 18th and 19th century, the rounds behind it will have to take 50,000 PSI and heat comming from the other rounds infront of it, the sleeve will have to take it, and the mounts that hold the sleeve in place will have to be very strong and it will have to still be easily changable. Will cause rapid wear and jams in the future. The production will be also a big issue,

  • @1ohtaf1 And you know nothing of material sciense or manufacturong tevchniques. Ever work in a machine shop? Do you know what a rockwell rating is?People far smarter than you have thought of all the issues you seem to believe will make the weapon so diificult to manfacture, maintain and relaod; so much so as to be an unviable wqeapon system. But clearly you know nothing of material sciences or manfacturing techniques to be judging a weapon system that is far beyond what you can comprehend.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 The only way to make it so that the heat and pressue from the round on top will no cause the ones below to fail, move out of place or ignite, is to have very tight manufacturing tollerances, much tighter then what we have now, this will cause more cost and time. If the sleeves have to stand up to barrel pressures, they will have to be made from chrome moly steel, heavy and expensive. Thats only 3 problems and there are many more such as heat, copper has a low melting point.

  • @1ohtaf1 As soon as you have a propellant ignited by electricty and not heat your heat argument is bunk. The barrells can be made of heat resistant composite materials such as high tensil strength tungsten-titanium ceramics. The rounds dont have to be copper they can be full steel rounds. The rounds themselves can be made of tungsten-titanium with quartz tips. Dont sit behind your keyboard and try and spout "chrome molly" at me kid. Im a machinist.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 As for copper i was refering to the wires, and the reason bullets have copper in it is because it is easy to work with, unlike tungsten. Back to the cost and time issue i mentioned earlier. There are much smarter people then me working on this no doubt, but you really have no idea what you are talking about, firstly, chrome moly is used for barrels because it is strong but soft, tungsten is hard and is the worst material to make a barrel from. It will shatter. 2nd point....

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 2ndly, not only is the material you chose not ideal, i go back to the logistics point i made earlier, as the materials you chose are expensive and much harder to work with then copper brass or lead. powder is set off with energy, be it from a primer expodeing or electricity, heat will set it off too. And i will be honest, your whole argument is: "there are smart people working on it and they solved all the problems" I mentioned a few and you havent given a solution.

  • @1ohtaf1 STFU UP YOU STUPID TROLLL. You Dont Know SHIT. Stop trying to be smart on youtube 'cause it ain't wokrin'.

Straight up kid I know you are blowing smoke out of your ass becuase I work with metals all day long on lathes and mills and cnc's and welders and sand blasters polishers etc. I know more about metal sciences than you could ever know in your life because you are clearely just some dumb kid who is wiki'ing his way through an argument he knows nothing about.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 What? You are calling me dumb when i am actually presenting real problems and you say there is a solution but you dont know what it is? Then how did you know there is a solution yet?

  • @1ohtaf1 No.Your not really presenting anything, your just using retard logic to drive this into a cyclical argument which I am no longer going to participate in.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 Well i did, you are not calling it a problem because when i asked you what the solution was when you said there was one you couldnt tell me. You call facts illogical and your "what ifs" logical? You are not participating because you have no facts or solutions.

  • @1ohtaf1 The RunnIng PAPEr Tiger Chases Its Own tail.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 WOW Is that finally a logical comment about the possible solutions of this problem? No wait... it isnt.....

  • @1ohtaf1 I made logical solutions you dont want to hear them cuz your some know it all cod kid that thinks everything needs to be made from coper and brass and steel thats why your stuck in the 20's. what ever Im done but you just dont seem to notice keep commenting you'll be talking to your self after this one.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 The main problem was weight and cost, your "solution" was to use tungsten and titanium for the barrels which is too brittle and tungsten and titanium is too expensive. It is also much harder to work with and the bullets cant be completely made from tugnsten as it will destroy the barrel. You created a bigger problem rather then solving the original one.

  • Telling me that there are smart engineers working on the weapon doesnt solve anything. There are problems, and i mention just a few with this design, those engineers need to find a solution, just them being there does not make the gun magicly perfect, it will depend on how they create solutions. If they have sorted out the solutions to the problems i saw with the design let me know what the actual solutions are. telling me that there is one but having no idea what its supposed to be is stupid.

  • @1ohtaf1 Just sit down. Like your some kind of expert to to be picking out the flaws...good lord someone plays cod on xbox and they think they are a firearms materials expert. Just stop being a cod kid stop posting on gun vids cuz I can see right through the very weak facade you are trying to portray.

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 I will agree with you if you actually prove me wrong, instead of having "i am better and smarter and therefore i have the solution" but when i ask you what the solution is you say "Sit down i am smarter and have the solution".

  • @Iwantedtoknow16802 "As soon as you have a propellant ignited by electricty and not heat your heat argument is bunk." well we can make what ifs to debunk anything, as in, "what if you are wrong" then your argument is debunked because it is wrong. That comment you made is completely stupid. If we can throw around anything we want, i could say that what if the world was perfect, we would then have no fighting and no need for weapons, your argument is debunked once again.

  • @1ohtaf1 Not to mention a metal storm will never need maintenanc unlike basically every single gun in exsistance. Not to mention the metal storm will never jam unlike basically every gun in exsistance. Malfunctions will cease to exists beyond LOw Batterry. How much time and cost do think that kind of logistical advantage would save when you have a gun that needs no spare parts has no moving parts has no need of maintance? A LOT!!!!!

  • @c0ld4rmy Chuck Norris.

  • @mandav15 that would feel like a bee sting to Chuck Norris.

  • @c0ld4rmy chuc norris had sex with godzilla and they have a son named justin bieber

  • @c0ld4rmy Incoming supersonic wave skimming missiles for example, or mortar/artillery rounds, or bombs. Since there are programmable grenades, which could be programmed to explode exactly at the moment the reach a target and with fast computers and exact radar systems you could probably pinpoint it exact to milliseconds. Just imagine 40x40 barells CIWS, which could fire 1600 rounds in one volley, creating impenetrable barrier between a ship and incoming ammunition.

  • @c0ld4rmy make that about 20 godzillas

  • @c0ld4rmy well ya we should of used this to kill bin laden with it XD

  • Tower defence :D

  • First off, terrorists would not be driving tanks. Second, this stupid thing cannot tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys!!! It'll just shoot the next thing that drives by!!

  • @TheNuclearWatermelon Oh, and there's something called an IR strobe.

  • @TheNuclearWatermelon Driving trucks with RPG's at the back yeah. Also, have you heard of the Blue Force Tracking system? As long as you have it, the system won't kill you on sight. Also I think there's a little human element involved, since no one wants anything shooting up /everything/, so human operator says yes or no to the system, if A == 1 then B = massive destruction else C = 0

  • I wish we had this is ww2 try to bomb dresden and hanover now terrorists

  • scary

  • evil shit

  • Shit.

  • and you reload this thing quickly how?

  • grunt 1: shit EMP!!!!!!!

grunt 2 :contact front dumb grunt :1 um how come my gun dosent work

P.s i Dont know if it would affect this

  • @ANZACS100 It won't.

  • HAHAHA someone is gonna invent a trojan to make it kill the shooter instead.

  • that pistol can take out tanks? wow

  • @ralfjacobs tanks arent as end-game as you think they are...

  • @JunRice i didnt say that they are end-game. you wont find me in a tank ever they are more like death traps with all the artillery airplanes and other anti tank weapons.

  • @ralfjacobs yes, theres a lot of "anti" weaponry these days

  • @megatog615, so ur saying it NEVER ja.....

    I died laughing at that.

  • This system can never j

  • bah i protect with a riot shield and i dont dead

  • dear santa.....

  • oops i held the trigger to long and now mt. everest is no linger the highest mountain in the world...... my bad....

  • @stormycarranco49 what do u mean ?

  • Japan, England or Holland will cure cancer... america will build battle mechs.. and Russia will try not to go bankrupt

  • @thewhulk Its funny isnt it ? :D The world is so fucked up xD

  • @pilotwork hmph...your right.

  • haha the battle field of the future... what a world...

  • That a cool concept. How does it hold up in cold?

  • why do their simulations look like Afghanistan and Vietnam, respectively?

  • oh yes killing people in the name of freedom seems to be big buisness! =oI

  • The next big thing since aussie vanilla!!

  • I have one of those in my backyard. Birds, beware!

  • It is basically an auto-musket.

  • Dear Santa,

  • @MarioDude76 I think you spelled satan wrong.

  • For World peace :)

  • i have 3....

  • Hello

  • Does this system have facebook and twitter?

  • go AUSTRALIA

    FUCK AMREICANS

  • 1 very good Aussie invention right here.

  • skyNET is coming, get we need a rebellion leader!!!!

  • and remote control :D

  • wouldn't the last rounds / the rounds in the back of the barrel, be more accurate,

and what happens to the electic system if it was put in use in a war, where the users were hit by an EMP?

  • @tusenbiter half the planet would suffer from nuclear radiation and have cancer 4o years later

  • @WHATSUPEOPLES

Not what I asked about... So if you're 40 years old, half the planet suffers from nuclear radiation, you get cancer 40 years later? so he would live to about 80 then, nice one!

  • where do the shells go? do the next bullets take them with them?

  • @robbyduffy1 There are no shells.

  • @robbyduffy1 There are no shells.

  • Australia made bitches =-p

  • @Whiting1289 Hellz yeah

  • In reality... Chuck Norris made that gun.

  • @MrCombineGuy

Actually, it's Chuck Norris Nail clipper.

  • It's a very nice weapon, I wouldn't want that to be the only hand gun on me, jam free or not, its electric idk the power supply or if it could get a short, very nice I think could be effective but i would still want a good old .45 by my side.

  • Know what that thing says? "FUCK YOU NATO!"

  • @Spook50 but NATO would order them.....

  • lol vietnam

  • i have one of those in my gun safe

  • Is this a videogame or suttin?

  • Yeah but this weapon have some flaws.First of all the waste of the ammunition. Second:support this weapon with ammo would be a hard job in a warzone.A well defended supply line could do the job(probably need much truck to carry ammunition for 5 shots lol) so i guess helicopters could be the perfect mashines for this weapon. As for the pistol...a well placed shot would be enough from any weapon so shooting 3 bullet is a waste of ammo in my opinion.

  • @Zappina One Shot, One Kill is not realistic outside of the world of snipers, especially when you are talking about pistols. Even if you are accurate a single round is unlikely to stop a determined attacker. Just look at the M-134 that the US Military fields. It sprays rounds at a horrific rate, but is actually far more accurate than a more typical weapon. In the end, bullets are cheap. Blowing off a few hundred rounds to KNOW that my enemy is dead is better than saving a few and wondering.

  • @ClancD Yeah but you dead when you reload. One enemy is not very realistic either.Anyway as a veteran soldier i know some things about firefights and believe me reload is your worst enemy.I dont know much about the M-134 i never used it(unfortunately :D ) but first thing i learned from my training is never waste ammo.Ak 63 are a very good weapon(that was my weapon),it isnt much accurate than similar assault rifles(in untrained hand) but it is a powerful weapon....

  • ...with 30 round magazine and 3 reserve magazine.Thats 120 bullet and that isnt much. This pistol shot 3 rounds to the same spot.If you miss probably thats why you didnt stop your attacker then you miss with all three rounds. If i shoot somebody and if i dont miss that will probably stop the attacker for a moment or more and give me enough time to aim better even with a normal pistol.Pistols arent very accurate in longer range shoting all your ammo in 3 shots could be fatal(multiple attacker).

  • a million rounds per minute.... but 10 min reloding time? hmmm

  • So big power... too bad...

  • Insert Terminator theme HERE. Fuck we're doomed.

  • for fuck sake, shut the fuck up cod fags, most military technology has emp resisting backup systems since the end of the fucking cold fucking war, i have made my point.

  • my favorite part was when the bullets came flying out

  • ok, so if it was on a plane like the one in the vid, how would you keep the bulets from falling out????

  • @12ViperPilot FAIL

  • @12ViperPilot sort of a magnet could help. it doesn't have to be super strong, just enough to keep them in after you open the cover(the one opening before fire). it won't affect the accuracy much as you can program a computer to count in these factors. it's not that a difficult question :P

  • isn't that cheating?

  • what about emp bursts?

  • @qwerty2219 There are actually ways to protect systems from EMP attacks :P so EMP's wont do anything to stop the robot invasion :D ... unless they are poorly constructed XD

  • Great unmanned super guns that can go any where... SKY NET?

  • lol, they were talking about how cool the hand gun was, and all of a sudden, they said it can take out battalion of tanks, and i wanted it.

  • I think an Australian invented this system

  • bullshit

  • Disadvantage: EMP

  • To quote Bill Hicks: "Couldn't they feasibly use that technology to shoot FOOD at hungry people?"

  • and its AUSTRALIAN lol

  • @jusfuknwidya amen to that!!

  • and this is the 44th step taken towards getting robots taking us over.

  • Imagine, man gets a brain and a heart. Great for target practice EH!

  • Holy crap. Im going to buy one of these and shoot it at my neighbors house.

  • Anyone buying their shares?

  • this thing costs $
