So i researched alot on how to get the smartphone w/out paying 29.99 monthly for 3g. well turned out tmobile has a new plan and allows you to only pay $42 with taxes. Can anyone help me? I'm with verizon. My old phone had blocked internet Access because of the MB being used increasing the bill(faulty phone accidently launch the browser without me knowing and i couldnt turn it off for a reason thus increasin my bill).I want to upgrade to this TP2 and i use manditory $30 email and web data plan. Will the internet block still be carried over to this new Smart phone? I am confused on my way to check out online i see it in grey under removed features.

Maybe it has something to do with a special app from your operator placed on your phone. Maybe try download a new. depends on the terms of the operator, maybe they block data traffic completley after a certain mb. Or maybe they have a stupid web app, the just download another one independent from the operator. My operator for example offers msn for 2 dollars a month. But i just downloaded the app independet from them and the data traffic is covered in my dataplan.

If your going to pay 199 for a smartphone then you should get the droid. It Has a slide out keybord. better ui interface. its faster. better operating system and also has an app store. it is the best smartphone on the vzw market. i got one and i am not disappointed.

Uh if you have their service you can easily use the phone in their network as opposed to try to get one made for another company and go through the trouble of hacking or unlocking it to work. Verizon and Sprint are CDMA, the rest are GSM thus only use a SIM card. There's not much of a difference between them. From what I understand, one can be set down on its face and automatically switch to speakerphone w conference calling. Others have some of the keys labeled differently w different functions

Verizon in their supreme stupidity is not carrying their best phone in stores.

Played with the DROID and TP2 side by side this weekend......and they are both EXCELLENT phones. Way better than iPhone.....if only for the fact it is on Verizon's network.

Droid has very snappy performance but the TP2 is a more svelte rounded design and has a nicer keyboard + is a global phone + a great speaker phone on the back.

Now all Verizon has to get is an actual cradle for the TP2 and I'll be happy.

This phone is sick! It hasn't frozen at all and I don't have to reset it all the time like I did my Alltel TP. The improved Flo is a LOT better and the keyboard is dope too. Easiest and most spacious I've used. Camera is ok and the screen is bright and vivid. I'm glad I bought it. It's a big improvement over the Touch Pro.

i think that touch pro 2 is a better device, but the plan for the touch pro 2 is much more expensive just because it is meant for business. if youre getting the phone for casual use, you should get the droid knowing that its a smartphone and its plan is less expensive.
