It's not all that big of a deal to hold them like how this person is holding the kittens; they're still relatively young and much more flexible; their skeletal structure is not yet ossified to the more rigid form of adulthood. Once they grow to a certain age, then you have to hold them differently. But I agree: all kittens don't like being held at a certain age.

My short haired, grey tiger cat I found crying his eyes out in my bushes, he had been out there for days (in the rain) before I actually figured out where he was....he was less than 8 weeks old. He is about 1 year old now. He actually jumps in my bed and takes naps with me and snuggles up with me.....it's GREAT !!!!!!
