Wow...Was raiding really that different back then in vanilla then today in WotLK? Was talent builds a big deal here?(Saw a frost mage with Ice barrier up and kept using Frostbolt) Was rotations even made for any classes?(I saw this warlock spamming just 1 spell) And lastly, was dps racing even a big deal with these raids?

@darkwyvern2 Back then, things that were actually MADE of fire were immune to fire. Same as things in old Naxx was immune to frost, mages went fire. Frost was the spec to be until your guild got into naxx due to mobs being immune to fire dps. The rotation was usually get dots, then nuke. You pretty much had 1 nuke spell you'd mash. I mostly remember it being more about Damage Done then DPS, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Getting the kill was the main goal.

Wow, this game seems so different then how it is played today in WotLK, Was certain talent builds a big effect in vanilla? Did they even have rotations to dpsing? (This guy was just spamming one spell the entire fight) And was there even a big deal with dps racing the boss down?

my first ever kill was back in august 2006 after a few weeks of failed attempts. ironically we killed him when we had 11 second server lag DURING THE SONS OF RAGNAROS phase! honestly it was a miracle we only lost i think a few dps during all that

rofl, i took a group of 10 people in to molten core we did a full clear in about 2 hours, tier 2 mage legs tier 2 warrior legs and onslaught girdle droped, also some patterns

Never played a warrior end game so I don't know, an affliction warlock yes. Seeing as i play one at end game. A rogue? SS > S&D > Rupture mainly so not really except for the odd cooldown use.

ragnaros was there to test if ppl where ready for BWL. it tested the gear of the guilds so you did not have BWL with lesser geared players. if you had the gear he was damn ez :D
