I say Dee-En-Tel. I like to say it that way because in Spanish 'Dee' sounds like 'Di' which means 'to say something' and 'En' sounds like the weak form for And, and Tel sound like Tell (on my strange accent of course) So it's like Say and tell... Di and Tell.

"Dntel is pronounced din-tell. Tamborello has indicated that the name was not intended to mean anything. When asked to create a meaning for it, he quoted it as a shortened version of "Don't Tell" although he admits that this meaning is a bit of a stretch.

There are some speculations on the name being based off of the word Accidental(dntel), although Tamborello has not confirmed this origination."

The postal service is a side work that happened to be taken really well by the public. why is everyone talking like dntel is just a guy from postal service going solo? he's not. both death cab for cutie and dntel existed long before hand as a seperate artist and band.

Not true! The Mistake x 4 album from James Figurine is some of his finest work. I'd even go as far as saying The Heartfelt, when really listened to, is better than Give Up. I will acknowledge the fact the the lyrics on Give Up are fantastic, and I much prefer Ben in this element as opposed to his usual stuff with DCFC, but they are 2 totally different sounding machines. One can't even compare the two!
