Anais Mitchell is the most stunning singer/songwriter/artist I've heard in many years, and her live performances are breathtakingly beautiful and profound. If you find a better CD in the genre than "The Brightness", please let me know...

Try her first album. The Song They Sang When Rome Fell. If you don't have it, message me. It is an absolute masterpiece. Especially the songs Deliberately and Work Makes Free. It also has a much more amazing version of A Hymn For The Exiled from her first album.

@cristin888 yeah, I'm not as into that song normally, but this version is wonderful. This concert was wonderful in general, I think. She plays a version of the song 'Venus' from that same night and it's also amazing!1
