Both the building and the ideology of the builder (McPherson) have born this fruit. It is truly distasteful and cheap and a great distance removed from the gospel. But as it is written, "Deceivers will come, getting worse and worse. Deceiving and being deceived." This kind of nonsense, and that foisted by the publicity-seeking, mansion-dwelling adulteress Aimee McPherson is truly not the gospel of the Apostles.

Mrs. McPherson built a beautiful place of worship. Those currently in charge have messed it up and turned it into something that resembles a tacky disco. What a shame. Good thing they aren't in charge of the Sistine Chapel...they would have probably painted over the frescoes. Shouldn't come a surprise I guess...they are, after all, in Los Angeles...hardly a town known for its good taste.

This used to be a magnificent historic church building. There were stained glass windows that you could see from the inside (now they're obstructed). The theatre organ was mounted on a lift that would rise out of the floor. Rumor has it that the lift is still there. The organ is there, although greatly compromised and tremendously unappreciated.

Aimee would love what is going on because like her this church is progressive and going somewhere. Also, people are being saved by the hundreds. The best way to honor the past is to make a difference in the future. Aimme is our hero and will always be entrenched into the heartbeat of Angels Temple. We are just trying to continue her powerful legacy of not creating a waiting room for the saints but a hospital for the sinners. We love Aimee at the temple.
The purpose in going to meet with other christians is to meet God and worship Him.....not "have fun"....nor is it about "feeling good." God is the object of worship, not our feelings or our fun.
