@fjolivo they really suck at first! felt like I got riped off. Just give it some time. you will grow to like them. They are only 6 3/4 in speakers. but it is amazing the sound they put out. I do have to turn down my sub to hear them. but you want to hear all the frequencies in your music right? that is what a quality sterio does.

Hey man, I just installed my polks sr6500 and they dont sound as loud as I thought, my stock speakers (4runner) are louder and clearer ;( and they are powered by an alpine pdx 4.150 just like urs... The fuse lights and the speakers distort before i can get my desired volume :( (thats 16 / 50 on a pioneer dvd 6050)

@fjolivo I hated mine when I first got them too. They have to be broken in. Takes a long time too. Like 100 hours worth of playing. I would just drive up and down the highway after work :) They will come around trust me. I put mine in before I got the sub. I would hear new stuff in songs I had listen to my whole life. You can even hear squeeky bass drum petals in some songs. :) They arnt ment to have alot of bass in them, you need a sub for that.

Dont be skeerd :) Put it in! You wont like the polk speakers intil you have a hundred hours on them. Then you will love them. Doent matter how much we spend, it's never enough to be happy with :)

They have to be broken in. But it is worth the wait. I have a factory box for the 13. The 1.1000 is plenty of power. And never over heats. Dont forget to bridge it. hook a wire from + to + and one from - to - hook the + speaker wire to chanel 1and the - speaker wire to chanel 2

13 w7 sub 1200, apline amps pdx 1.100 & 4.150 about 800 a piece, two sets of polkaudio sr6500 750 a piece. 2 farad tsunami cap. 175? I need another one of those. JL audio clean sweep to make my factory sterio work right. 300 something I think? And a little kenwood eq with a sub control. I can remeember how much? After wires and cables and stuff around 5 grand. It is never worth it. But it does sound good :) polkaudio speakers are awsome!

alpine pdx 1.1000 it was rated over 1200 watts from the factory at 4 ohms and the sub is 3 ohms. so somewhere aroud 1500 watts?

Yeah all you really gotta do is find out where the ball joint is in the mirror...drill a tiny hole in the housing, until it comes through to the ball that's attached to the mirror part..thread a set-screw in and you're good to go...put your mirror where you want it, tighten the screw up and it'll hold...course you probably shouldn't do it if you dont know what youre doing, lol!!

yea. A pdx 1.1000 and a 4.150 also. I put a 1.5 capacitor and a 60 amp fuse and havent had any problems. My headlights still beat to the music though! :) I dont have enough room in my trunk for a biger cap! they start to look like amps when you get over 1.5

Hey I have a Kinetic 600HC and its only 3.5in by 5in, its a 100 farad power cell. I also have a Batcap 400 which is 4in by 3in and is a 200 farad battery capacitor. They are very small and fit almost anywhere :) If you want I could even sell you the 100 farad for cheap if you want to completely remove all electrical issues

the amp was tested at the factory at over 1200 at 4 ohms. and the speaker is 3 ohms so it is geting 33% more power than the amp rating.
