Nancy, I've been kind of out of touch lately. Sooo, you did buy a car like I'd suggested - "boxey" station wagon. You can get a whole lot more in it. Toyota Matrix - I love it. I know you were worried about gas mileage. Is it more than your past cars? I have a Kia Forte shaped like this one and I get 30-35 mpg on the highway - and I ONLY drive it on the highway. Still have my Suzuki Esteem wagon for my "town" driving. Plz let me know what you think - mileage, space, etc. Cool, so cool!
@alicetoo I bought this Toyota Matrix because it was a toyota and it had cruise control. It has not cost much more than my corolla on gas. It has a floor when all the seats are down that is vinyl and can almost be hosed out! Very good car.
@NancyToday My past three "boxey" cars (1 an '87 Toyota Corolla FX) have always had carpeting instead of vinyl but blankets, sheets,tarp - whatever can be used on top for the messy projects I've used the cars for. But I love the space I have with the seats down - kind of an enclosed "truck". Yet, when I need to put passengers in the back seat, I can do so easily - and do. I use them both ways - and often.
@NancyToday I still have all 3 vehicles and still use them for various reasons. Would have liked the other 2 to be a "Toy" but "Toys" are too expensive for me. And yes, I like my new Kia with cruise the others do not have as well as other features. Mainly, new Kia is for the highway and mostly to take me fishing and mushroom hunting. Kia is a little bigger than the Suzi but has best gas mileage of the 3. Enjoy, Nancy, enjoy and have lots and lots of FUN ! ! ! Happy for you!
